She’s still at 32 on iTunes. I wasn’t expecting to find her at all 😂

It’s the right time to: a) lower the price on iTunes, CD b) promote the streaming c) more interviews (exclusive about BIOM being about Victoria)

Jay, do you happen to have the breakdown of physical, digital & streaming sales for the album?

The album debuted at #37 on the ARIA album charts in Australia.

It’s Melanie’s highest charting album since 1999’s ‘Northern Star’ which peaked at #32 :cheer:

Effing Rhona. I hope she can promote the record soon in those countries. No sign of the US chart tho.

What is this about BIOM being about a Spice Girl? Sounds like fans being a bit :arrr: to me

But yes, she does need to change tactics like reducing the prices of physical items and the iTunes ones too... Lets see... I would imagine it would depend on the first midweeks...

Lets brace ourselves for a big drop. It's gonna happen, lets be honest, so we might as well be ready.

She absolutely needs to do something, the euphoria of a top 10 will be dampened hugely if it falls out of the top 100 this week.

She should be doing everything to keep it top 75 this week, because otherwise that top 10 changes nothing. It was still the same old fans buying it just they bought 8 copies not 4 this time. Now she has to get casuals and non fans buying out of curiosity. Oh that new Melanie C album that is doing well is only 4.99 I'll take a punt and buy/download it see what the fuss is about.

It's like how everyone always says Northern Star is about Mel B cos she is Northern... well so is Melanie C! It's ridiculous always looking for any link with no substance.

Honestly, most of us expects a huge drop this week. It's obvious everything was pushed to at least give it a decent peak and Mel C being able to push this as a top ten album is good enough since most people actually don't follow the charts. The next goal would be trying to achieve a decent sales total, but I doubt that'll happen.

Not yet  Hopefully in a couple of days!

Great that she went Top 40 in Australia

Melanie said "there is so much more to come", so I hope that means she will keep the album campaign going until Christmas and beyond, into the new year, leading to the European tour.

This album has the potential to superpass the total sales of This Time, The Sea, Stages & Version of Me.

The album is climbing on iTunes! :cheer:

Great debut in Australia! And nice to see it jumped 10 places on UK iTunes as well this morning.

I do think there does seem to be a bit more casual interest in this album than her previous efforts, but obviously she has to keep it going. If it manages to stay top 75 this week it would be a small achievement I guess. Her doing 20k+ in total would be a step up from her previous ones which mostly did between 10-15k in the UK since Beautiful Intentions.

The cassette and standard cd £5 on her store

Standard download £4.99, deluxe added £7.99

Amazon standard edition £5

A social media advert made with clips from the 3 videos (I'm ignoring Fearless) with the tag 'the brilliant new top 10 album from Melanie C' that she could put on twitter and social media and get her fans to share.

The whole point of being top 10 is it being a vehicle to promote and sell the album to non fans otherwise what is the point. She might as well have had 1 cd again and 1 video and saved her money charted at 30 and spent a fraction of the cash she has.
