I'm making that a thing x), it's looking likely to be #1 in the US - his first ever, as a soloist or as part of 1D! :cheer: Apart from enjoying his current music as a solo artist I also love that he is having post album hit singles, it's a real blow back to the charts back in the day. I assume it's been a successful campaign overall in the US or is it just this single? Adore You was a hit in the US too - it peaked at #6 and has had very impressive longevity much like it had here! Lights Up and Falling weren't pushed to radio but peaked at #17 and #62 respectively, while the album was both the final #1 of 2019 and the first #1 of 2020 there!

August 9, 20206 yr Harry has 2 songs in the US Airplay top 5 right now, Adore You and WS, which is crazy for a UK artist well in fact there are 5 UK songs in the US Airplay top 10, Harry x 2, Lewis and Dua x 2 too

August 9, 20206 yr Worth noting that the reason 'Watermelon Sugar' is (possibly) going to #1 in the US this week is just because of him running a physical/digital bundle as has been the case with a lot of Hot 100 #1s recently. That's not to undermine its success, it was already a big hit and will continue to be one (will just likely drop back down to the lower half of the top 10 next week like it was before), it just wouldn't have been a #1 without that (at least not yet, it could still continue growing more organically).

It's one of many songs to have used the same tactic recently, personally I've been enjoying seeing a larger amount of people hit the top in the US compared to their usually extremely slow, airplay-driven chart.

I think it goes into place from the chart next week but everyone is still taking advantage of it 😂 (Cardi released pre-order physicals last week so that they’ll count for the chart as they were brought before the rule change went into effect and Nicki has been at it again haha)
