BLUR: THE BEST OF

So, I have decided to evict 4 songs this round! I missed out 2 songs (oops) for the first round - Charmless Man and She's So High, plus I have missed a week with this. So bye bye to the 4 most voted songs last round:

Music Is My Radar. (11/22 votes - 50%)

Not a shock that is was out first, its not well known. However, its a cracking tune and sounds very much like the sound Damon developed for the Gorillaz. This reached number 10 in the UK and was the lead single from this very album.

Country House (3/22 votes - 13.64%)

It's hard to take this iconic 90s number 1 seriously. Mockney trash despite me being obsessed with it almost exactly 25 years ago. A friend called it Cockney House at the time! It's still better than Roll With It though.

This Is A Low (3/22 votes - 13.64%)

I'm not happy about this going! An absolute classic album track from Parklife and iconic enough to be on a Best Of. And the Queen/She's gone round the bend/Jumped off Land's End.

No Distance Left To Run (2/22 votes - 9.09%)

From the album 13, this reached number 14 in the UK, and is the one with the video of band sleeping. Never really liked this track, so no huge loss imo.

Anyway, let's get voting for your next victim!

It seems very harsh to eliminate a song with 2 votes!

I have voted Girls & Boys - it's one that I never really joined in with the appeal of. I can take Parklife but that's a step too far.

I know its a bit harsh Mark, but its my fault for leaving this 2 weeks and missing out 2 tracks.

I'll try and be weekly from now on to eliminate one at a time.

She's So High is my least fave of those left.

Gutted that This Is A Low is out already though!

Missed the last few votes I think. Went for 'For Tomorrow' this time, not really a classic!

Sad 'Country House' went so soon as even though it ain't great it's still a classic 90s no1!

'Girls And Boys' playing on radio 2 as I write this 😀

I absolutely love For Tomorrow, sad to see it being in contention so early!

Also - where is Chemical World? Is that not on the album? :o

There’s only one track from Modern Life Is Rubbish.

Shocking!!!! I can understand them leaving off Sunday Sunday but Chemical World is another one of my faves :(

In fact Modern Life is Rubbish is one of my favourite albums of theirs.

It’s my second fave of theirs after Parklife. Really under-rated.

poor This is a Low :/ one of my big big favourite of them, should have been the 4th single from Parklife instead of End of a Century

On Your Own is my least favourite

Last day for this round - we currently have a tie. If there is still a tie by this evening, both songs will go!
