Yeh it just seems like it’s not as important if you do it every week a bit like the clap for carers!

Derby County owner Mel Morris has agreed a deal in principle to sell the Championship club to Derventio Holdings (UK) Limited.

Abu Dhabi-based Sheikh Khaled bin Saquer Zayed Al Nayhan, a cousin of Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour, effectively owns Derventio.

The Rams say Derventio has passed the English Football League's owners' and directors' test.

Love how all these dodgy companies have the name ‘Holdings’ in it. Always reminds me of a company from Can’t Pay or something

Strange they got rid of Monk when he helped them from negative points!

Good manager Pulis though.

The teams that got relegated last season have all made a strong start to The Championship this season. I don't know if it's ever happened where all 3 relegated teams get promoted straight away but there's a good chance of it happening this season.

Going straight back up used to be a lot more common than it has been recently, which seems at odds with the creation of parachute payments. In the previous decade the top 2 were relegated teams twice in quick succession (Birmingham and Sunderland in 06-07 and Newcastle and WBA in 09-10). Since then only 2 teams have gone straight back up in automatically in 10 seasons, Burnley in 15-16 and Newcastle in 16-17 with 5 others going up in the play-offs. 12 finished outside the top 10, 2 of which were relegated.

In those 10, season 11-12 had the best performing relegated sides, the only time all three have finished in the top 6, West Ham, Birmingham and Blackpool finishing 3rd, 4th and 5th.

I think it's helped that none of the teams that came down were in real dire situation, often one comes down that's an absolute shambles which isn't really the case and all seem well equipped. I do think Norwich will ease to promotion and the other two will struggle to keep up but I'd be surprised to see any of them miss the top 6.
