August 24, 20205 yr I don't see a problem with it... just a dedicated fanbase trying to get their fave a #1 single. I don't know if what they are doing is entirely within the chart rules, however, it does come across as extremely desperate and, you know, UTTERLY INSANE. No wonder K-pop fans have not a very good reputation online in non-KPop circles (at least from what I'm seeing). Like already mentioned, 1000 people buying something 10-50 times each doesn't represent the actual popularity of a song/album. Same shit with the 20 cassette/CD bundle releases. It's called taking advantage of hardcore fans.

August 24, 20205 yr but one thing is a fan multi-buying, I can totally understand it, sure thats' been done a million times and that's fine if you go and buy the pink cassette and then the golden cassette and then the rainbow cassette but here there is an organisation collecting money and then buying for others, you don't have to spend any $, they buy it for you,, that's what's wrong imho
August 24, 20205 yr BUT it’s the fans are doing it. Yes it’s crazy, but it’s not chart rigging either, because the people paying are the fans not the record company. Personally I’m all for it, it’s a long time since the UK chart meant this much to anyone, even if the song is pretty mediocre.

August 24, 20205 yr wow amazing for the Killers, wasn't expecting them to repeat the figures that Wonderful Wonderful did, was expecting half of that! glad Joel Corry is back to #1 ahead of the scam-BTS thing but I was actually expecting a tight race between Joel Corry and WAP... Joel is miles ahead
August 24, 20205 yr 43k already is a surprise, didn’t think they’d even do that much for the week. looks like we can all collectively unroll our eyebrows now too :P ...not that I ever expected BTS would have a chance at staying number one, but they should at least get their first top ten which would be welcome seeing as this is one of the better songs I’ve heard from them. pleased that Clean Bandit are looking to at least go top 40 this week and I expect they’ll climb to the top ten soon enough too. also quite like that new Headie One song so would be here for that remaining top five.

August 24, 20205 yr these are the 1st week sales for all Killers albums: Hot fuzz 29K Sams Town 268K Day & Age 200K Battle 93K Wonderful 51K crazy huge opening figures for albums 2 and 3, those were the days, crazy Sam's town almost went platinum on week 1
