Oh yeah, I was absolutely ecstatic for them that this was a huge hit for them (and the fact it gave them their first (and only :drama:) BRIT).

I was initially confused by The Promise when I first heard it! It was so different to anything they'd ever done and wasn't at all what I was expecting. Not that I thought it was bad, I just needed a couple more listens to settle with it! It grew on me so quickly. The buzz around this song really made it seem like a #1 could be on the cards... and then it all fell into place :wub: It was such an amazing time to be a fan! This really felt like a moment. :heart:

I adore The Loving Kind, especially this single mix! It's lush, and Nicola steals this one I think.

'The Loving Kind' is definitely my biggest Girls Aloud grower! It used to fall a bit flat for me but its beauty crept up over the years.

This is Nicola's song through and through, but doesn't she hate this? :lol:

 

The production is sublime. So dreamy and... :wub: Just gorgeous. Their most underrated imo.

The Loving Kind is sounding beautiful, I particularly love the "I'd do anything..." section. :wub: I think it was a strong second single choice. It deserved more than #10!

I remember buying 'Out Of Control' on CD and instantly having such a connection with 'Untouchable' :wub: I was over the moon when it was chosen as a single! The single mix was a bit of a misfire but I'm glad it gave the song more attention anyway. The album version remains a discography highlight!

Started late due to spotify being a pain but two anthems to start with (not gonna give any song a 11 cos its not about that)

I love it so much that even the radio edit couldn't hinder my love for it! The 6 minute version is outstanding. I wish they were brave enough to release that version of it!

This has been such a slow-burning track for me, I always liked it but it's aged like a fine wine :wub:

I've always felt like the Radio Mix could have been a bit better than it is (I don't think the vocoder lends very well to it), but still, it's great. I prefer the album version, that's truly epic! As a fan, the #11 peak was incredibly frustrating... but they had done so very well to achieve 20 consecutive Top 10 hits :wub:

My second fave GA song!! What an incredible track, I was obsessed at the time and I still adore it :wub:

Now time for my favourite GA song :wub: I remember receiving an email from the Girls Aloud website saying that they had a new single coming out called 'Sexy! No No No...' and was a bit mystified by that title :lol: the song was every bit as whacky as it suggested and in the best way possible *.* I love the video too!!
