It's a shame the Pet Shop Boys missed out on the top 10 but they have the accolade of being Buzzjack's favourite duo ahead of Erasure (2nd) and the Chemical Brothers (3rd).

Considering how often the Saturdays still get mentioned on these pages, I though they would be higher :frankie: :nonexistentneiltennantemoji:

My PSB favourites: It's A Sin, West End Girls and album track Kings Cross.

That's me out then!

A shame that the PSBs didn't quite make the top 10 but 11th is better than I would have expected for them before the countdown began. I don't think any of the top 10 were even close to being included in my list, although I do have time for All Saints, Sugababes, Coldplay and the Killers - and objectively I can see why Spice Girls, ABBA and Queen are so well thought of even if I don't care that much for their music myself.

only 6 out of 10

So... not all girlbands like I said then? lol

Pretty fitting about the Pet Shop Boys not making it, as Dark Horse said one of the best pop bands in history!

Great to see The Killers in the top ten *.* not sure I could pick a favourite Killers track but 'When You Were Young', 'Somebody Told Me', 'Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine', 'Shot At The Night', 'Runaways' are all 10/10s for me. 'Human' and 'Mr Brightside' are both great but way too overplayed, and I don't think I'll ever understand what it is about 'Mr Brightside' which makes it an almost permanent resident in the Top 100!

The Killers are one of my all time faves. Would likely have been top 3 for me. Not visited Wonderful Wonderful or their new album much since their releases, but loved the previous 4 albums so much. Glad to see they have a solid fanbase here on BJ!

Edit: The Killers have never had a UK #1! WYWY went to #2! :(

^ Yep, I was just about to point that out too!

The Killers used to be an act I'd consider one of my favourites of all time, they've dropped off a little for me now but their album this year was a return to form and they still have a mostly consistently great singles discography.
That's a great finish for The Killers. M4ngo has already mentioned my favourites of theirs, although I have yet to tire of Mr Brightside whenever it pops up!
Cant wait to see the Killers live next year, it will be my first time !!

The Killers, what a band they are. The new album is excellent for me too!

BIGGEST UK HIT: VIVA LA VIDA (#1, 2008) PARADISE (#1, 2011)

Loved Coldplay at their peak, which for me was around 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' (their best album by a country mile). X&Y was a decent album too but their last few albums have just been bland and uninspired, I really don't get why they've continued to be as big a band as they are. For me they just do 1 or 2 great songs per album now, although I really didn't get into their latest album at all.
Coldpay need to release a GH
Coldpay need to release a GH

I know streaming has rendered GH collections kinda redundant but acts who have never released a GH like Coldplay and Muse (and maybe even Rihanna) would definitely benefit from releasing one on CD. Even if doesn't sell huge amounts, I still would have thought it would be financially worthwhile.

I did give Coldplay their score based on their music I liked rather than all of their work, seemed harsh to mark down when I do love so much of their stuff. Their earlier work is great, three special albums in their first 4 and most of X & Y is good too, with the occasional song I've really enjoyed since, Midnight is certainly up there amongst my favourites of theirs. I think 4 albums was probably enough Coldplay really.
