November 25, 20204 yr no idea who is going to win i can’t believe that Busted and The Wanted are above the Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Duran Duran and Roxette etc... Busted and The Wanted (you could have included McFly in this because a little bird told me they're still to come ;) ) were HUGE at the time and they are very relevant in the pop music history. I couldn't say the same about groups like XX and Saint Etienne and so many others I've seen in this top 100 list that only Buzzjackers and just a few people know. -- Talking about favourites to win this I would bet my money on these 5 girlbands and 2 male groups: Spice Girls, Saturdays, Girls Aloud, All Saints, Little Mix, Beatles and Queen I will be very shocked if the winner is anything else. A spoiler: I only voted for 2 of these 7 groups and that could explain why I have only 10 groups left at this point. Edited November 25, 20204 yr by Jason
November 25, 20204 yr Love Green Day  to jump on the bandwagon my top 3 of theirs would probably be: 01. Boulevard of Broken Dreams 02. American Idiot 03. Letterbomb ('American Idiot' is one of my favourite albums of all-time, quelle surprise that they all come from that :kink:) Busted's debut album brought me so much joy during my childhood and 'Night Driver' from 2016 was a welcome direction too.

This is literally called "Buzzjack's Favourite Group". That's the point of this whole thing, whether other people know them is irrelevant....
November 25, 20204 yr And yet! (I don't think I even need to include Busted's stats to further note it)
November 25, 20204 yr I always find it so weird that the instrumental intro to their debut album has gone on to be probably The xx's most famous (and obviously by far their most streamed) song. I'm not mad though, it is great. Nice to see 'Angels' (my personal fave from them) in 2nd place ~
November 25, 20204 yr It's not even one of those weird Spotify algorithm quirks either. I remember back in the last.fm days of '09/'10, it was always up there with "Crystalised" as kind of a big deal.
November 25, 20204 yr Shame 'I Dare You' isn't in the Top 5, that's the one song of theirs that I really like!
November 25, 20204 yr Surely 'All Time Low' is in The Wanted's 5 most played? Yeah, you'd think so, wouldn't you? I don't even know 'Could This Be Love', it appears to be just a random album track so I'm not sure how or why that's #4.
November 25, 20204 yr Yeah, you'd think so, wouldn't you? I don't even know 'Could This Be Love', it appears to be just a random album track so I'm not sure how or why that's #4. That is really weird - it's also behind I found you, heartbreak song and heart vacancy so ranks as their 9th most popular! Is there another version somewhere, maybe?
November 25, 20204 yr There are a lot of potential random factors but it's also worth noting that The Wanted took off internationally with "Glad You Came", and had moderate success overseas with later singles, but "All Time Low", coming before this, never really did much overseas, it's not a song I know really at all.
November 25, 20204 yr But aren't those UK numbers? 'All Time Low' not doing much overseas should have nothing to do with it.
November 25, 20204 yr But aren't those UK numbers? 'All Time Low' not doing much overseas should have nothing to do with it. I posted Spotify numbers which are global, I don't know what the UK numbers are. (though even that being said, local numbers over time get strongly influenced by international success, especially with the US, for pop culture and assorted reasons).
November 25, 20204 yr as I said earlier, reply think The XX-Intro is the best instrumental song EVER!! :D so makes sense to me that its their most streamed song... it's also track#1 on their debut album so that might help it :D gotta love how ids age 12 think no one knows bands like The XX, look up who sells more albums :)

November 25, 20204 yr really? he acts it most of the time hahaha :D was just joking... love how this has turned into a battle of bands vs groups, which are two different worlds in my opinion
