It's easier for a solo artist to sing choruses live than a group. You can't ask three women to perform choreography and sing a chorus in harmony together.

You are right, though. Your post reminded me of when they sang The Cure on the LM5 tour and frequently stopped singing due to emotional moments (Jesy crying) and the track sounded the exact same with nobodys microphone held to their mouth. I understand lip syncing choruses with choreography but slower stuff or songs without choreo should definitely be attempted.

Im sorry but the bar cant be that low, that's not ok. They *can* sing in unison and dance at the same time. Do slower/smaller dance moves, train harder, I dont care. It is literally their job to be a girlband of singers/dancers, so I dont get why they should get a pass

I do love them but they absolutely must step up their live game, im sorry. From the lip-singing to the stage design to no band, it just seemed like a really half-arsed tour

You know what, I think singers should be able to sing their choruses. Like, tone down a bit of the choreo, work on your breathing, etc. It is just lazy. Plenty of pop singers sing their choruses, even if with some backing support. Little Mix literally just dont sing it at all and it shows.

Imagine thinking that 'why should they sing it live when we know they can sing it?' is a good take? They are singers. If they can sing it, then bloody do it lol

At the moment, it is giving 'They could sing it but oh well, they prefered to go the Saturdays route' which is a bloody shame...

It's not lazy though? When they used to start their promo for a single, they used to sing the chorus live (Black Magic, SOTME, WLM etc) all had live choruses, but as promo went on and eventually tour, they toned them down so that they could just lip them instead, there's absolutely no point in singing a chorus constantly when we all know they can sing it. As I said, it's for voice preservation - their choruses are demanding as hell. And actually a lot of singers do not sing their choruses, at least not on tour when there's already such a high amount of stress and demand on the body.

I don't really care if Little Mix don't sing the chorus to Black Magic or Salute or No More Sad Songs. Beyoncé doesn't sing the chorus to Run the World or Formation etc etc. All liped. I'm much more interested in hearing their solo verses as well as their ad-libs, belts etc.

You're being way too harsh and completely not understanding the demand it takes on the body to sing constantly for 90 minutes straight, to then also dance and then factor in the fact that two of them had babies recently (yes 9< months is recent in these terms) and then do that consistently for like three/four weeks in a row with very little rest time, all whilst leading up to this they were in rehearsals and prepping their solo debuts.

They've proven themselves time and time again and the Confetti tour, whilst a little rough in places, still received acclaim from fans + critics, give them a break jeez.

I'm sorry but Little Mix are absolute SUPERSTARS live, to say they need to 'step up their game' is crazy to me.

They put on such an incredible show and most acts have backing vocals for choruses!

Wrote this caption about 10 times, literally 🤦🏽‍♀️ lol I don't really have the words if I'm honest 🥺 it's going to take some time to properly process it all.

But I have had the time of my LIFE these past 11 years and I've created the most magical memories. My god I'm lucky 🥹 THANK YOU to everyone who played a part in making our dreams come true. We will be forever grateful. Now enjoy some tour spam, this was my favourite tour ever! Missing it a lot and everyone on it.. and missing our mixers. 😢❤️

I hate when they make it seem so final and like a goodbye forever...

Those 3 women are just insane and I’m so glad I’ve been a part of it all (god knows how much I’ve spent over the years) but it really has been amazing to see them all grow from X-Factor and they are still so humble and appreciative.

The way everything has been handled has been great these last few months in letting us know about the break, the tour (giving everyone the chance to see the final date) and I’m already counting the days till they return with a huge new single / album campaign with a renewed sense of excitement!

I really hope if / when they do come back they are all at 100% and give us everything because it has been obvious they need this break from LM - End on a high and recharge without LM continuing to just take over years in advance.

Roll on Leigh, Perrie’s and Jades solo ventures (Am I the only one hoping we get a Collab from all 3 girls on each of the albums?!) I’d love that but I guess that defeats the object of going solo!

they are amazing and deliver constantly, thank you!

They do! Just wish they would do that also in the chorus, with a live band and in the set design!!

Having re-watched this tour, including the final O2 performance, I think it was brilliant overall. Their chemistry on stage as a three is lovely, and their vocals insane.

But yeah, I do agree they really should have had a liveband. I know there might have been other factors outsiders like us might not be aware of, but it's underwhelming that the third best selling girl group of all time has never really had a live band in any of their major tours. This is why their 2018 apple music concert is my fave of theirs. It's even sadder cos their vocals are up there, when weaker vocal girlbands have used live bands in their concerts.

And yes, whilst it's a stretch to sing all choruses live, I still think they could have done better - especially with the slower songs. With all the ad-libs they do, it would have been difficult, but one person could have still been singing along with the pre-recorded vocals - although I do actually think they did this in some of the songs.

The other day, I was watching Spice Girls live in Istanbul 1997 performing Too Much with live vocals in the chorus. It was rough, but still felt intimate.

Anyway, the only other thing I didn't like was their costume from the beginning until Between Us, especially that one they started out with.

Great end to this era. I hope they come back soon. Even if they're not singing and dancing, just seeing those three doing something together with all that chemistry gladdens my heart lol

Totally agree on this. I dont care if it sounds rough (a lot of their verses also sound rough) but you know what, that's what pop stars do. Rough is good!

I dont know of any other girlband other than The Saturdays that didnt use live a band in thier tours. And the Saturdays, I think, was only on their final tour whilst Little Mix have been doing it forever.

Again, LOVE THEM! Hope when they come back they will work with a band. Then I can justify the costs of actually going lol

- The live stream grossed over $1.4m in ticket sales!

- It grossed £450,000 in cinema across the UK & Ireland! (Considering it was a 2 day event - Sat & Sun - that's REALLY solid!)

They did that. All on about a weeks notice too. WOW.

"Online event promoter Driift sold more than 85,000 tickets to last Saturday's (May 14) livestream of Little Mix's concert at The O2.

The final show on the band's Confetti Tour was watched by fans in 143 countries.

The event was also simulcast to cinemas worldwide, accounting for 29,000 sales and a Top 5 placing at the UK-Ireland box office

With The O2 completely sold out, Driift conservatively estimates that a further 200,000 Little Mix fans will have accessed the show online across the livestream sales.

Wow!! That’s actually incredible given they haven’t really been heavily promoting over TV / Radio. The ticket / cinema sales are insane given the only real promotion was through socials and The One Show mid week (with a rather lacklustre interview from hosts) and even then they were only announced a week before! Imagine if they had pushed this for 2 weeks with interviews on TV shows like This Morning etc....

It did seem popularity outside the fanbase had dwindled slightly on the release of Between Us but that shows just what a force they still are!

Amazing!!!

The merch store has been wiped out too, most was in stock before the final show but even old collections have sold out!

The livestream was incredible. I really hope they're able to flip it into a Netflix/Amazon release & a live album; it's basically ready already.

Yeah... after a tough week personally, that really broke me lmao :')

Their friendship is insane. It's nice to see a pop group go out on their own terms somewhat and it feel like a mutually agreed ending as opposed to just calling it a day randomly. Will forever stan them. I love them so much. It feels like they've defied the odds so many times and just as people start to count them out or whatever, they manage to bring it back completely and shatter expectations.

God, I love them SO much.

Sat in a hotel room on my own and finally starting to grasp the scale of all this and what we’ve achieved. This is my last soppy post I swear 😂

We f***ing did it. What we dreamt of all those years ago. We worked our arses off, proved a lot of people wrong, we poured our hearts into our music, we got each other through heartache, bettered ourselves, we cried and we cried laughing nearly every day, broke records, inspired, we shared every misery and lived every victory. We did it all together. We became one of the biggest girl groups in history ♥️

I kinda hiHATEthis hiatus but change is necessary in life and we know deep down we could not be doing this at a better time - stronger than ever ♥️ Best believe I will be the ultimate fangirl of whatever my girls do in the future personally and professionally. After all the number 1s, the awards, the success…my biggest win is having these women in my life forever 🌌♾️
