Guessing to build up promo...

Maximum impact.

Ah OK is there more impact on a Monday?

No...I’m just guessing they have the weekend to promote the mass download on Monday so when 3pm comes around more people will download at once...

Spotify streams are so low so downloads are probably even more key in them getting the #1!

If that mass buying project works like it did for Always Be Together then it will be a great idea! Every little thing will help this song now so i’m excited for that. Hope it can have a good rise and snatch some extra sales
JB didn’t even get 100k for his debut so he’s nothing to worry about. However, Ed’s streams have increased and CJ is holding on.
Sweet Melody is back at #1 on Amazon Music (CJ - #7, Ed - #13) so we just have to hope this makes up for the gap on Spotify.

Streams are seriously low on Spotify it’s actually crazy!

Especially for a Friday!

I’m guessing Amazon is stealing a lot of the market as everyone’s at home using Alexa etc..

Which could work in SM favour being #1 on there.

I don’t think I’ve streamed a song so much in my life on numerous platforms all remixes in playlists haha

Friday - Sunday are a no-go as new releases *usually* drown everything out. The download market is smaller on a Monday so it's easier to get exposure by climbing the top charts then and obviously the more exposure, the better chance it has of grabbing casual interest too.

The things they CAN do though is, do a streaming listening party every day that could potentially help out. I'm thinking of starting one for here. It'll be a playlist that I put together, with 'Sweet Melody' in it numerous times. I'd throw in a couple of chart hits (but NOT their closest competitors ofc) and some LM album (mainly 'Confetti') tracks. Would y'all be up for that? If so, when? Later tonight, tomorrow afternoon?

Sounds good 😁

I’d be up for that.

I think CJ will just snatch it.

If their label promote it / girls push for it then they should get it!

“Whoopty” - CJ

iTunes - #22

Apple Music - #3

Spotify - #5

Youtube #1

Amazon #7

“Sweet Melody” -

iTunes - #14

Apple Music - #6

Spotify - #13

Youtube #11

Amazon #1

Please, that Ed Sherman track can’t be the first non-xmas #1 of the new year. That’s unacceptable.

And that Whoopty song is just noise to me lol

Ready to download on Monday @ 3pm!

We all know us Mixers have to do most of the promo ourselves...

RCA is a joke this week, I’ve been happy until now! They haven’t bothered to do anything.

I think Little Mix might do it...

Looking at last weeks numbers Whoopty was doing 50k more on Spotify all week..

But obviously it’s gained loads this week on amazon (was 21/22 on Amazon)

The only thing that does help are the remixes, acoustic and the expanded edition that will help bridge the gap slightly even if streams are literally only 1/2k a day.

Makes sense, fingers crossed. I'll throw in a download and will be streaming all week

So I just checked iTunes and it looks like I can buy 7 versions of the song from there (I already have one)

I’m guessing the same from Amazon?

If a good number of people do that, they should easily make up any difference that they need to make it to number 1 surely
