I'm not too worried about the debut, it's great its going top 10 but unlike most of their releases where we pray for better streaming, I do think SM will continue to grow and peak later on.

I agree! It is already showing some strength on streaming, compared to some of their latest releases and I think it will only grow from here. We have at least the EMA's performance to look forward to and probably more to come :cheer: Maybe a Graham appearance as well? Or Strictly.

Looks like a #9 debut to me, I'm not worried overall, but am actually a bit disappointed looking at the stats for today looking at the sales breakdown - and it has better Spotify numbers and actually has a video, that BUS didn't, but is currently on less than that was on Monday. I guess BUS had a biggest first day burst on iTunes.

Yeah i’m not worried at all. We have the advantage that it will probably rise quite high on playlists very soon and then the album release next friday. Even if it debuts lower than BUS, i have no doubts it will peak top 5 tbh

I think it's because of Amazon Music. BUS was at 42/43 and Sweet Melody wasn't even top 100 yesterday on there but is comfortably climbing now..

Wow!!! It was 60 odd last time I checked that’s amazing.

It says 60 to me, but maybe it's because it's on prime, rather than unlimited.

 

The song opens itself out to me more and more. The production is so much fun and I love the adlibs on the final chorus.

Jade & Perrie's ad libs in the last chorus are everything - but my favourite is Leigh's "Sing me sweet melodies yeah..."

 

It has a familiar descending melody (lol went something like) but I can't recall the song!
