That’s really bad and depressing but the GP are over these singing contests. The market has been oversaturated with them for about 20 years. New ones in 2020 just aren’t offering anything we haven’t saw or heard a million times before.
Well now im scared for the ratings of tonights show.
Oh dear that’s awful, I’d be surprised if it’s not even lower than that tbh because it’s a Sunday!

That's shocking. I thought at the absolute worst it'd be 2.5m.

Intrigued to see if good reviews help tonights episode.

Lets hope the younger audience do indeed watch via iPlayer/don't bother with live TV...

But yeah. Those ratings are not good (although it's not like this was ever gonna be more than one series 👀)

Apparently it had 149,000 on iPlayer last night. Is this good or not?

It doesn’t sound great but considering it was only 1.9m on TV, then I don’t think it’s too bad

If anything it should rise slightly tonight with the much stronger lead in of Countryfile
Yeah and the positive reviews to the show. So hopefully it'll rise.

This is where I would be. I watched live via the iPlayer. (I live in shared accomodation so housemates were using the TV downstairs :( )
It's a shame they never got this kind of opportunity during their peak. Now it looks like it's too late.

I would agree with this, I think the curiosity factor might have been higher 3 years ago when they were bigger as a band tbh!

I dont think anyone was expecting this to be massive. These kind of shows peaked from like 2008 - 2012.

I cant see the BBC being kind either Geris "All Together Now" got cancelled last year after 2 series for better ratings than this.

I don't think anyone expected it to be massive but I also don't think anyone expected it to be such a colossal fail ratings wise either. It shouldn't matter because it was still really fun but this means there will 100% not be another season and these kind of opportunities for the girls in TV won't come anywhere near as easy anymore.

Is this really gonna run for more than one series though?

I'd be interested to know why it did such small ratings? Little Mix as a brand? Tired format? Bad promotion?

I've always had a weird obsession with tv ratings so it'll be interesting to see if it picks up and what it's patterns are like over the coming weeks.
