Not as good a start for Ari as thank u, next, (the lowest song off tu,n had the same numbers as the third highest song here) but I don't think anyone really expected numbers like that due to the sound of this album and the fact is had much less build up

I'm pretty sure she'll still get 3 songs top 10 officially though which is great

Those Ariana streaming numbers are way below Thank U Next. It will still be an easy no 1 for her this week.

It's low for her WW also, this album is so bad that it hurts me. What happened to her? Anyway semi flop around the world and the album have NOTHING on it to carry it on.

Only because there are zero hits right now and the numbers in the US as of UK are really low in the past month. It's way lower than her last and will start to free fall.

If pretty much any other female except Adele had this debut on Spotify this site would be going crazy talking about how much of a success it had been on there! Ariana is still doing very well.

 

It’s hard to tell how the album will do long term but even so she’s not gonna drop out the top 100 in a months time like some female albums by huge artists have done this year. She’ll likely have a steady chart run (but more like sweetener than thank u, next).

Obviously Ariana is doing well but it’s fair to point out the drop off between the last album. Clearly there’s different circumstances, but I do think the sound of the album will lessen its longevity as there aren’t really “smash” single sounding songs on there. The album will do well enough because she’s such a large name.

Let’s not forget that the album leaked a week ago..

Interesting week then, obviously a strong showing for Ariana - will the songs have a big drop tomorrow though. Hoping for Sam and Dua top 10 this week.

Poor Sam, hope Diamonds will at least go top ten. They really should've taken advantage of DWAS, it was huge.

What are we expecting for this year? I have a feeling they might be slightly higher with what's going on at the moment, with Fairytale of New York potentially entering as well.
