And I think his last album notably saw him trying different things, he hasn't put the "same similar song" out again and again (I can see it with regards to Stitches and Treat You Better but that was 4 years ago).

100% this. The singles from Handwritten and Illuminate both followed the same kinda formulas, but he's definitely experimented more and created a different sound with the self-titled, and now this.

 

The only comparison to be made to Harry Styles really is that both Wonder and Falling were written/composed by Kid Harpoon.

I must admit, I did get like a condensed Sign Of The Times feel from 'Wonder' but only because they go for the same epic, soundtrack euphoria kind of feeling. It doesn't give me huge feels of the last era of Harry though.
