‘Jump’ must be one of the all time great guitar based songs!

 

The thing is it isn't really a guitar based song unlike other Van Halen songs, it is heavily based around that iconic synth line, was watching CNN this morning and they did an obituary for Eddie van Halen and Jump wasn't featured on it as they focused on his guitaring skills.

 

Eddie van Halen did write the synth line in Jump however several years before the song was actually made in full.

Always reminds me of the Back To The Future film as does the song ‘Beat It’ by MJ but didn’t realise it was a Van Halen inspired genius that created it. It does sound like that.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Wiley vs. Stormzy beef at the start of the year because Chip has just released a Stormzy diss which I imagine will do better than the Wiley ones did.

It was the third of many singles from ‘Thriller’ here’s its chart run - 30-5-{3}-3-4-11-16-26-38-52-72-72->12 so maybe not but it’s downloads and streams will be big enough!
