I suspect that all of the following will chart higher: Amanda Holden, BLACKPINK, Bon Jovi, Corey Taylor and Queen. Oasis are not listed above, but they have an anniversary album re-issue which seems like it'll be a big seller.

As for the albums already charting, Pop Smoke's album gets significant streaming numbers so he'll definitely be higher (I mean, I assume Melanie isn't coming for 10k+ sales). Looking through the current chart, I'm hopeful that nothing else will be outselling Melanie this week. The new entries in yesterday's Top 10 chart all seem like albums that'll have much weaker second week sales (The #1 album by Idles was largely achieved thanks to physicals, so I assume their sales will plummet in week 2). Albums that have been hanging around for a while such as Lewis Capaldi, Juice WRLD, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift all sold above 4,000 but less than 5,000, and I'm certainly hopeful Melanie is coming for 5k+.

I'm hoping these other new albums won't have the ability to outsell Melanie, but who knows...

Róisín Murphy's album is only out on CD, so Melanie certainly has the edge with formats. Róisín's last album made it to #41 in the same year that Mel's Version of Me reached #25, so... hopefully she's not strong competition.

Mariah Carey is a question mark for me... she has a lot of buzz right now with her autobiography, but again, this release is only out on CD... so in theory it might be difficult for her to contend with Melanie's multiple formats.

I'm also unsure about Dolly Parton's potential to outdo Melanie. Hers is a Christmas album and it's only on CD (her vinyl is delayed until November).

I'm going to be optimistic and predict a final position of #9! I really want this to be Top 10 for her, it would be lovely for her to get that affirmation after many years of being pretty overlooked in the charts.

Dolly is number 1 on Amazon after her Graham Norton promo. I didn't see that as a threat but who knows.

I'm going for #12 but that would be a great success for her.

I said #9 originally. The lowest I can see it charting is #11. Hopefully 9 or 10. The album is stocked in most supermarkets while a lot of the other new releases ahead of her are not. Hopefully this is enough to make top ten have a feeling it will be close. Has she any other promo lined up loose woman this morning etc?
Yes I was wondering if she was going to be on the morning shows!? I mean surely she can get a slot on This Morning and Loose Woman and Lorraine etc!? Performance slots would be even better!

I saw vinyl being sold in-store as well.

I really hope Mel can hang in the top 10. She really deserves it. A #11 or #12 would be heartbreaking.

I think that must have been her debut album reissue? The Rarities is coming on vinyl in December but it’s exclusive to her US online store!

She’s #7 on the iTunes worldwide album chart. The trend is not bad considering Melanie C albums normally reaches a top10/20 peak on iTunes and then they immediately fall down. That said, I hope she gets some top20 album chart around the world.

UK (for me): #15

My pessimistic side predicts # 14

My optimistic side # 10

I've voted for the second one  finger crossed

In this poll, 9 out of 25 of us correctly predicted "Top 10 (6-10)"!

#9 - Jay, Rob90

#10 - Andrew, Feel_The_Fever, SouthernStar88 Spiceboy

#11 - jlj

#12 - Sammy01

#15 - dancinqueen

So none of us predicted #8!

In the original thread ( http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=238092 ) only 6 of 29 predicted "Top 10 (1-10)". No one guessed #8 then either!

Only Melanie going and surpassing everything we said! Imagine if she had released the week before and being number 5, Spice Circle and Buzzjack would have gone into meltdown!

If she had released the album on September 11th, it would have entered the chart at #3. Imagine! :o

Mel achieving top 10 status is a wonderful outcome.

I am so happy for her to finally return to the Top 10.
