Thank you for this explanation! I didn't realise that this could happen so I must've overlooked that for Kylie recently oops. Well, great for its chart visibility on there then!

I think it's only a recent thing and I think the label may have to request it, but like you say it's really good for chart visibility.

 

EDIT: Oh, according to ManicKangaroo in the iTunes thread, they end up being separated (looks like they might have been now, another version is showing up at #154).

I can see a second version at #140 but I think that's just the clean version of the original rather than the remix? :thinking: trying to get my head around this :lol:

Hmm I think the other version is the clean version?? The only other time I’ve noticed this done if the 2 chainz remix of 7 rings so it’s a real possibility she’s done it again. Guess we will find out for sure soon enough.

I think this is just a mistake on iTunes' end, the Kylie remix situation was only combined for like a day iirc, I'd assume the same will happen for this.

 

The appearance of the clean album version seems a bit odd but there is a clean version of the remix too so maybe that is also being combined with its respective album version? :lol:

It happened with both Levitating remixes when they were released too.

Oh yeah I noticed that there was a clean version of the remix when I went to stream earlier! Okay, this all makes sense now, shall patiently wait for iTunes to sort it out then :kink: just gave it a stream again and really noticed how prominent the strings sound during Doja's verse tbh, love that element.

I'm glad its managed to avoid ACR before the remix came out. I'm not sure what kind of effect I expect it to have, I think it'll get back into the top 10 for sure but maybe not quite a new peak in the UK

Yes I remember there being whispers on here about it possibly going to ACR a couple of weeks ago, thank goodness that didn't happen :drama: this iTunes boost is good to see, although hard to predict anything without remix Spotify numbers yet, would love another new peak so fingers crossed!

The remix is doing really well on Apple (it's at #20, already only 4 places behind the original) - think this should quite easily get a new peak next week. Considering sales are still pretty low and close together (well, apart from Olivia of course lmao) I don't think #2 would be out of the question if the remix does similarly on Spotify too and holds up well during the week! Tate McStale did 20.8k at #10 this week so this will have done just slightly less than that, while LM at #2 are only on 30.4k, the remix doing nearly as well as the original on Apple indicates it could feasibly come close to doubling its sales week-on-week which would put it way over that mark. Of course it's probably a bit too early to confidently make that projection though.

Ooh that’s an amazing place to be at right now on Apple especially as it had a five hour disadvantage *.* come through Spotify too!

 

I’ve had parts of the remix stuck in my head all day :lol: the video helped ‘34+35’ grow on me a bit and now this is assisting with that even more, I didn’t want to take it off loop earlier, so I’m really pleased about that even if I wish there was a bit more Ariana in it!

Enjoyed both verses on my first listen before. I think the remix will be a grower but I already love the original :lol:

 

I'm predicting this will end at up #3 in next weeks chart with the boost from the remix.

Remix #5 on Spotify but #2 with 400k+ when combined with the original, brilliant to see!!

The remix is pretty good.

I love Doja and Megan on it but I'm with the majority in that they cut out the best part of the song, the last verse / middle eight :(.
