I think 'The Kill' is the only song on there that ranks among my favourite songs of the year but for its consistently high quality the album as a whole is probably somewhere in my top 10 of the year still.

All the tracks deserve their place. I think I would jiggle the tracklisting around a bit so the first half isn't so heavy in tunes and spread them out a bit. In Your Eyes to Read My Lips is a little samey so they could be broken up a bit better too. A glowing body of work *.*

November 10, 20204 yr BuzzJack has always had a very liberal interpretation of 'alternative' that essentially includes any sort of vaguely uncommercial/artistic pop music. Nothing new. Pleasantly surprised at 'The Kill' getting a couple more 11s beyond mine - I am pretty firmly of the thought now that it's the best song she's ever made. (The only way it could be improved would be maybe if the chorus was brought back one more time at the end but that's just nitpicking)
