The Christmas Songs not doing quite as well on Apple but fantastic to see the newer Xmas songs doing better here like Becky, Liam Gallagher & Celeste!
Very tenuous to call Becky Hill and Celeste 'Christmas songs', their only connection to Christmas is the ads they are used in

I consider them seasonal tracks on my playlist this year lol

Suppose it comes back to the ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ debate

as expected huge drop for Mariah today, still #1 but with 393K, Ariana reclimbs to #3 with 325K
So do we think Mariah is going to, or needs to, do c.800k tomorrow?
I think she will need to do close to a million to have a chance of #1 tbh
What she's losing in streaming she's now making up for in downloads. She's #2 on Amazon and iTunes.
I think she’ll miss out from the mids yday Ariana should crawl to 38k or so while Mariah rarely does over that this week any other year!

I agree that Mariah needs a very good December 1st on Spotify, but there must be other factors at play.

The official Monday update took into account Friday and Saturday streams only.

Mariah's total Spotify figures were around 1M over those 2 days - so 500k in ACR terms. Ariana's were 700k.

Therefore if Spotify were the sole predictor Mariah's sales in the update would have been 5/7 of Ariana's, but they were more like 93%.

I don't know if that means she's exploded on YouTube or something else, but she's obviously making up for her Spotify handicap somewhere.

^but this year is not normal, it's obvious you cannot compare to previous years

she can do it depending on what her figures are on Spotify tomorrow but it needs to be a crazy figure, unlike today... agree it has to be something like 1 million... I mean, on today's data she's above Ariana, but she's on ACR so in truth Ariana did double than Mariah yesterday

the iTunes sales can help a tiny bit but outside the weekend, sales are pretty low, the key is what she does on streaming

what helped was her Amazon streams, she's #1 there and they had 1 more day of data reported than Spotify

But is she doing more than double Positions on Amazon? I guess we don't know the figures.

Seems like Apple are now heavily pushing xmas songs on every playlist

Fletcher - Silent night being pushed on A-List Pop

Giveon - O Christmas Tree is #1 and #2 on Apple Music Today's Hits (Amazon found shook at this tactics)

But is she doing more than double Positions on Amazon? I guess we don't know the figures.

I think it's likely as Mariah is charting at 1 and 35 and Ariana 15.
