Both still Top 50 ('Magic' is Top 45).

I’m actually shocked they have only dropped a few places since yesterday!

It would be too complicated to explain how I've worked this out, but I've estimated that tomorrow's positions and sales could be...

#53 - Magic (8,015 sales)

#55 - Say Something (7,558 sales)

(Don't hold me to it, it's just estimations!)

In my calculations #40 has sales of 9,791, and #50 is 8,569.

I suppose if the Kylie fanbase goes crazy enough with downloading Magic this evening, they could help keep it in the Top 50... but Top 40 is impossible. :( It's a pity BMG didn't have more vinyl ready to go, or better still, release CD singles. I'm sure she could have easily sold a few thousand CD singles.

Oh well! BMG don't seem hugely fussed about how singles do, so I guess we shouldn't be. It's just a shame that Disco will break her "every studio album has at least one Top 40 single" streak.

I'm at least glad that Say Something will get its Top 75 peak! I'm also glad that both singles have a strong chance of out-peaking I Was Gonna Cancel.

Love those estimations Jay, would be pleased with those positions.

Would have loved a Top 40 but also equally as pleased that we are going to have a chart double tomorrow with the singles

'Magic' looking to not be too far off the 8,267 that 'Dancing' managed the week it reached #38. Not bad when you think that had the 99p EP helping it out. Also shows how much bigger streaming is now - it took 10.6k to reach #38 last week, for instance.

The 99p EP would have done it....

That's why I think they are still thinking of doing something else..... That digital album won't last long in fact it's a bit weird and Exclusive to Townsend.

B Jaxx would need paying and it's not going to even generate streams so it's got to be being released somewhere else....

She could still have a top 40 single from Disco.......

All it takes is effort.....

Remixes, EP, physical in one week, plus if Xmassy Remix......

I still have this funny feeling Celebrate You will be the one....

I think the Golden era shows that it's quite unlikely that she'll manage a Top 100 hit with a future single, let alone Top 40. I don't think BMG would be at all motivated to try... this was the only viable week that they had the strongest chance to make it happen.
Disco is given us 2 top 75 hits and id love if it could get a 3rd, i was sure musics too sad with you would have given golden its 3rd top 100 but didnt get there despite having ok sales.

BMG are not motivated for chart hits with any of their acts even though the could achieve them, however I’m just pleased they gave us vinyl singles at least.

It’s just frustrating when a tiny bit more of a push could have got at least one of the singles Top 40.

Finally got around to buying these:

Magic (Purple Disco Machine Remix) - Single *

Magic - Nick Reach Up Remix

Magic (Apple Music at Home With Session)

At Home with Kylie Minogue: The Session - Single #

Say Something - Acoustic

Say Something - Syn Cole Remix

* I bought this with one click, so I guess it'll just be one sale. It was cheaper than buying the two remixes individually. Blame me if Magic misses the Top 50 by 1 sale x

# I bought 'Magic' individually, then I pressed 'Complete My Album' to get 'Say Something' and 'Cool' - which I assume would make it count as a 'Say Something' sale.

I assume therefore that I gave Magic 3 sales and Say Something 3 sales!

Yes Jay getting those last minute downloads in

I had to do my bit! :cheer:

It could result in the difference between Top 50 and Top 60.

Fingers crossed! :yahoo:

I've estimated that tomorrow's positions and sales could be...

#53 - Magic (8,015 sales)

#55 - Say Something (7,558 sales)

I was quite close with these last minute estimations *.*

#53 - Magic (8,157 sales)

#56 - Say Something (7,572 sales)

Magic:

1,923 vinyl

1,706 downloads

437,370 premium audio streaming = 4,374 sales

27,884 ad-funded audio streaming = 46 sales

55,566 video streaming = 108 sales

Say Something:

2,525 vinyl [interestingly this is 7 more copies than it showed in the Thursday midweeks]

681 downloads

411,143 premium audio streaming = 4,111 sales

80,057 ad-funded audio streaming = 133 sales

60,424 video streaming = 122 sales

If Magic had sold as many vinyl copies as Say Something, it would have managed #48 instead of #53.

#40 sold 9,699, so Magic needed 1,543 more sales to make it into the Top 40.
