Yeah but he was 86...... Kylie is 1 at the moment.

 

Obviously some countries it will 2 or 3 copies will get you up to number 1 but in others it will be hundreds if not a thousand etc.

The Disco Deluxe has finally appeared in the Amazon top 100 of the year at no 96, so I guess it’s sold more on Amazon than the Little Mix standard and deluxe.

Yep not convinced Amazon sales are that high overall to be honest but at least she has 3 positions in top 10 currently so combined should be ok . But we know she selling out of those HMV signed stuff and of course her website etc.

Little Mix are killing it on streaming, with Sweet Melody up to 6 on Spotify & 3 on Apple Music, plus all the tracks in the Top 100 on both platforms.

 

This race is going to be so tight honestly, just gotta say that personally these albums are both phenomenal pop albums, and it’d be nice to show support to both these acts who have worked their asses off to achieve the career longevity they have.

all of little mix’s album tracks are in top 100 of spotify uk, most with over 100,000 streams. same for apple music uk. in spotify 5 of them are top 50. kylies got some competition cos don’t see any of hers in spotify top 200 and only 2 in apple music 😬

 

I think Little Mix’s streams will be their advantage and Kylie’s sales and bundles (with signed vinyl still to come apparently) for her diehards will be hers. It’s definitely going to be a close one I think.

 

Regardless, both labels win since these albums are looking to be two of the biggest openers of the year.

That’s a huge debut for Little Mix and a very underwhelming debut for Kylie, I would have expected 1/2 songs in the top 1,500. I guess everything will depends on signed copies and bundles. There should be a midweeks today with albums but Kylie would need to have a 6-7k less imo today to hang on to it!

If LM dont get it a SM repeak would be a good consolation

Underwhelming in what way? She is number one on UK, Australia, USA and Germany iTunes , literally 4 of the top 5 markets in the world.

 

She doesn't and never has got streaming support but let's not kid ourselves some artists would love to have 7,000,000 listeners on Spotify a month.

Can we see the Spotify top 1500? I’m not surprised she doesn’t have anything in the Spotify top 200, she was comparatively low down on the NMF playlist.

I stick by my decision that LM win this but Kylies opening week sales should be one of the biggest of the year.

 

Ps. Kylie sold 1500-2000 signed CDs quietly on HMV alone yesterday in about 40 mins to UK purchasers.
