Posted November 6, 20204 yr I know this is still very early as this already classic Kylie album only dropped hours ago. But already with so much praise by both critics & fans, I've decided to include a multiple choice poll in which fans on Buzzjack can pick & choose your selections for future singles. With an album packed with so many amazing gems its not gonna be an easy feat, so pick your tracks wisely. Of course "Say Something" & "Magic" have already been released, so its no point including them in this poll, but kept "I Love It", coz that was only a promo/buzz release, so could that be kept in mind later. Not including the deluxe tracks as well they stand no chance in hell of being picked anyway & there's 10 fabulous tracks to pick from, so its not like we're not spoilt for choices. Like I said I know this is very early days, & if u don't wanna vote now, then maybe after some time has passed in order to digest this album's greatness. Also I'll be doing a new Kylie Minogue - Singles Rate next week & that will be fun. So discuss & kick back to enjoy the experience.
November 6, 20204 yr I feel like there are so many single choices here: Real Groove (definitely feels the most 'on trend' in the way it is very Dua Lipa's album - could have most cross over appeal) Dance Floor Darling (THE album highlight and the fan fav - imagine the music video for the last minute of it, yes please!) Miss A Thing (so sexy and so catchy - would be a great single) Last Chance (the chorus is so undeniable and I honestly think the ABBA sound would go down well on Radio 2 for sure)
November 6, 20204 yr Author Here's my picks: Real Groove - This is gonna be the next single & what a BANGER!, this would follow the already iconic first 2 singles perfectly with its slow start before heading into a bouncy catchy chorus with such slick production with some cool effects on Kylie's vocals along with some fun claps & a true earworm melody. Miss A Thing - Another highlight that has to be a future single at some point. This has a similar vibe to 'Magic' but more cool & chilled out with Kylie vocals more sensual & laid back, yet still manages to keep your foot tapping. Dance Floor Darling - This has a more slight 80's pop/rock yet still fits with the Disco theme of the album, Disco/Rock maybe, but still a fantastic highlight. Imagine a music video to this, plus love the speed increase at the end Supernova or Last Chance - Picked both of these in the poll & either one of these (or in a perfect world) both would make fantastic singles. "Supernova" has a massive chorus with a very outer-space Disco feel with a very authentic '70s soundscape & sassy verses. "Last Chance" , Again another brilliant bop & really get the ABBA vibes from it with a euphoric chorus & fun verses that make for a fun time.
November 6, 20204 yr Celebrate you Where Does The DJ Go Dance Floor Darling Supernova I think these would be the 4 i would be happiest with,
November 6, 20204 yr Miss a Thing, Real Groove, Supernova, WDTDG are all contenders to my single picks :cheer: I love I Love It so much that yes, I DO want it to be a single too
November 6, 20204 yr Miss a Thing, Real Groove, Supernova, WDTDG are all contenders to my single picks :cheer: I love I Love It so much that yes, I DO want it to be a single too  agree 100%... i would like I love it and Supernova to be future singles, and Miss a thing as well... DISCO is the most complete album of Kylies career, & has the most great songs of any Kylie album...
November 6, 20204 yr agree 100%... i would like I love it and Supernova to be future singles, and Miss a thing as well... DISCO is the most complete album of Kylies career, & has the most great songs of any Kylie album... It's actually astounding how high the quality of this album is, from front to back. This is maybe the first time on a Kylie album where I like or love every song. There's usually always one or two duds to my ears. What's even more impressive is that, she's delivered this high quality 33 YEARS into her career. This cannot be overstated! It's already a very small group of artists who are still successful after 3 decades, already such a feat. But then, to completely smash that "sun is setting", "heritage" label and produce one of her best albums EVER...I have to stan forever!
November 6, 20204 yr I agree that 33 years in, she still has an album of this standard in her, but i think since Kylie joined BMG it has reignited her so much.
November 6, 20204 yr To make an album of such high quality at this stage of her career is to be highly applauded. Kylie is delivering what her fans love.
November 7, 20204 yr The main album resulted in a great track listing. I would swap out unstoppable for Fine Wine.
