Oooh , signed Vinyl supposed to be coming today. Marked as despatch Saturday, her vinyl sales last week were incredible, but even so it looked as though some sales were missing based on the Monday midweek. They’ve obviously been moving stock around to cope with the online demand.

My signed blue vinyl and signed photo and signed test pressing literally just arrived (They were definitely all signed at the same session when she posted a video of her signing the test pressing sleeves), my cassettes are still apparently due to be delivered today too.

My signed blue vinyl/signed photo is due for delivery today too :cheer: Then all that is outstanding for me is the Amazon Black Friday vinyl in 11 days time!

I wonder how many of the Black Friday vinyl will be available (I keep checking that my order hasn’t been cancelled after the put it up in error  ).

I think they pressed less of the Turquoise Amazon Exclusive as they knew this was coming as that is now sold out?

Be very interesting to see the first midweeks....I’m sure Disco will stay top ten because just over 6k was needed last week. She will have had solid online sales of the standard and via Amazon due to the Thursday promo and the great press over the weekend. Fingers crossed.

It should be a higher benchmark this week as at least three new albums will exceed 10k, hopefully 4 if Sophie EB does well.

Who knows who buys physical music these days and where from. The last physical product, prior to Disco, I purchased was Golden Live!

Was it an Amazon exclusive the Black Friday. I thought it was just reduced a Black Friday Deal?

Yes it’s a Amazon Exclusive - rumoured to be a double gatefold black vinyl. They put it up for pre-order in error and a few of us managed to order it so it should be appearing anytime now again.

Yup I saw it when it got put on. Cool

Will others get more exclusives for black Friday too on other websites?

I can see 4000 being made and Amazon ships worldwide so get ready for the meltdown when they appear on eBay.

As for the chart this week from the looks of it , lots has been dispatched from last week this week so she may do ok 😝

I am just a pessimist

The double cassette of DISCO... I feel like they could have designed it a bit better. The back cover with the track list is upside down, and one of the spines is upside down too, which makes the item look a bit weird to me.

Therefore it's different to the mock-up - https://img.tmstor.es/kylie/72756-f255b2879...e37742876a0.png - this image doesn't show the back cover, but it does show that they seemingly intended that the spines would both face the same way. Whereas in reality one of the titles is upside down: https://img.discogs.com/pgYk0ft4gTqaOSOQekp...4-2098.jpeg.jpg Then the back cover looks like this https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Emx_XnVXMAAXW6h...amp;name=medium

It's quite a gimmicky release tbh, because for the amount of music on there, there wasn't a particular need for it to be a double cassette :kink: 16 tracks could very easily have fitted onto one cassette.

Aside from the cassettes the other errors this era -

• The vinyl insert on all editions apart from the Spotify one is mis-printed, it lists the track numbers as 1,2,3,4 & 6

• The Australian standard pressing omits the track names on the reverse of the cover

Pitchfork have just reviewed this and they... were really harsh (shock that they were harsh towards a female pop artist) Her metacritic score is already 75/100, it's gonna take a huge hit after being given a 5.9 from them.

So sh!tty of them when it had such a great metacritic score. Anyway their delayed review has no impacted on her selling 55k and reaching #1 and having her most successful album for years based on early global chart positions

That's a shame... :( That's only slightly better than the score they gave for Golden (5.4). Pitchfork rarely give high praise to female artists. It's weird, because a week earlier it was included in their "albums you must hear" section.

I think that'll send her Metacritic score down to 72. That's still a decent score, still her only album in the 70s area. Just a shame that it was initially as good as 80, before receiving a couple of meh reviews. Pitchfork is the second worst score out of 15 reviews - Uncut were harsher, giving it a score of just 50/100.

Oh well. Pitchfok are entitled to an opinion, it does not take anything away from Kylie or this number 1. Most people have said its her best work since Fever or Aphrodite. Depending who you ask.

Thanks hun.

Just Carol

Kylie can never please Pitchfork.

There is just no pleasing some people.

It is their loss as Kylie has delivered an album housing a strong catalogue of songs.

Mids 'Disco' #5

8,935 copies

I view this as very positive as some ahead of her will be frontloaded.

Those sales indicate at least 13,000 for the entire week which will place Disco close to 70,000 sales in 2 weeks.
