I am excited for the sales of part 2, i am really happy with pre orders going by the rumours.

 

Think we will have a strong opening number, her official website always shift the most and the vinyl reached #1 on Amazon.

My take is there will just release everything to get maximum sales for Xmas and while she is still in UK before going Australia for Xmas. This is also when she will have most chance of promo in UK too and before any potential disruption from lockdown rules again.

 

We know she has 2 more videos shot and probably all 3 will come out pre album? We already know one is coming on 10th Nov 2 days before album.

 

It maybe good to so some infinite disco promo to boost the sales too. Could she release Say Something with Gospel Choir etc as a little taster for that or something similar ? Or could we get an EP of remixes for A second to midnight?

 

As expected though promo will ramp up, she will probably do everything in next 2-3 weeks in whatever way possible. We know TV promo and radio promo at Xmas time sells!!!!

I think it will hang around for a few weeks but I’m not really expecting much past week 1 - if there is strong promo then it could rack up some decent sales even if it is towards the lower end of the charts.

 

 

Ya I feel the same, probably a sharp drop on week 2 and maybe a steady week or 2 thereafter in the lower end of the chart which at that point should add 30k to its total.

Her sales will be staggered across the first few weeks anyway as some people - including myself - will have ordered a bundle with the extended mixes vinyl which isn’t out until December. As such, my bundle won’t count towards the chart until then.

Those sales will hopefully help keep it in the charts for another week when they get dispatched.

If Kylie's promotion slots are spread across a couple of weeks it will help sales outside debut week.

No Graham Norton performance lined up on release week, hopefully there will be something in the weeks after!

In a way i would prefer it in the weeks after, pre orders are good and fans will buy it on release week, i know promo helps boost first week sales and chart positions but this one, well for me anyway isnt really important on where it charts as we know its not in the running for number 1. Ideally promo after release week will help keep it in the charts for longer and give it a sales boost outside release week.

Golden Discs online (Irish music webstore) have reduced the original Disco to €5, hopefully it will help sell a few copies.

Still not sure how big pre orders will be, seems to be struggling on Amazon, although it is a competitive market.
