An incredible outcome for Disco this week.

Was not expecting such high sales at all.

Disco will achieve Gold status much quicker than Golden.

Wow at how this week is working out for Disco.

Hopefully there is lots planned for next year but it feels that potentially ending the year with a 120-130k selling album that anything else will just be a bonus.

I quite agree. She should hopefully start the new week with near 90K sales... which leaves 30K in about a month.... sounds easy given a) it's Dec and sales are high b) given lockdown relaxation, there will be more than usual foot traffic to shops.

 

How is Disco stocking in M&S, Tesco, etc.? The other big magnet for her demographic?

90k more or less when this week is added in which is really good, with promo coming and maybe another trick or 2 should see disco pulling maybe another 10k next week so it could go gold next week.

Disco is being sold in the 4 major supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda & Morrison’s). It’s part of the 2 for £14 deal in Asda and 2 for £15 in Sainsbury’s.

 

HMV stores are stocking the standard and deluxe CD and standard vinyl - they are the last/only place with deluxe CDs available too!

We hopefully have a boost for week 5 from her website deluxe CD that was on pre order for tomorrow plus a boost from promo on J Ross and down radio promo with G Norton.

 

Can see Kylie promoting all the way in December

Imagine if she could pull close to 10k a week right up to Christmas, it would be a great boost in sales for her .

Kylie is performing impressively strong with Disco.

Is Kylie far behind Number 5?

It is more impressive when at one point last week Disco was Number 15.

 

 

I see AC DC are on 11,600 sales.

Kylie will be close but unlikely to overtake.

Might pop into HMV Vaults Birmingham today to see what they have....be very interesting to see how all the bigger releases do with record shops now open...online sales seem to be better for everyone, which we’d expect given many people aren’t going out at all, but there must be a pent up demand from the casual shoppers. Supermarket selections are so limited and hidden away.

 

So I’m hoping Disco exceeds 15k a week in the next three weeks.

Supermarket and Amazon seem to be in the price war territory for CDs with their 2 for £14, 2 for £15, 3 for £20 offers.

 

Kylie is in all of them which is good

 

HMV do they usually do an offer before Xmas or do they wait until after ?

I think it’s down to the record company agreeing the deal....I could see Steps album as £4.99 on the HMV Twitter picture.

Yep Steps and G Barlow went for a price war this week.

 

Kylie is selling fine and already has the number 1 secure so not much discounting except for Black Friday and then the outlet offers like supermarkets

I am hoping it stays top 15 this week. I am not saying it's not going to sell well, just so competitive

 

I think it depends on how many Deluxe CDs where sold on pre order and how well promo is received. J Ross actually doesnt get that many viewers! But wi be on itv hub etc
