Popped into Birmingham city centre earlier...HMV Vaults and HMV bullring, plenty of standard CD, inc a signed one at Vaults (didn’t buy it), no Vinyl in at all. They had the deluxe version in both, found one marked at £10.99 so bought it, they scanned it as £16.99 but had to then charge me the label price after I challenged them...was the deluxe temporarily £10.99 at some point during the price crash?

Vaults was especially quiet... massive store with no footfall, no wonder record sales are dire again in the run up to Christmas.

No it was never £10.99 in HMV so looks like it was priced up incorrectly and you got a bargain :cheer:

I really hope HMV somehow manage to pull through yet another England lockdown :nocheer:

Hmv struggles at the best of times and lockdown will make it even harder.

I just thought I was lucky and picked up a reduced copy. I’m not feeling guilty. Paid full price for the vinyl, cassettes and standard cd....plus £55 for the Golden Super Deluxe back in April 18...eeek.

I saw the cashier dash off to the Kylie section as I was leaving haha. There were only 4 copies in total.

It is an extra sale for Disco.

Yep! Plus at least there weren’t loads of the standard CD in stock so hoping that Saturday’s price crash deal was successful...it was Cliff yesterday.

I was probably the only person to buy the deluxe on Sunday because it was almost three pm and it was the first time the pricing error was noticed by staff.

As we wait to see where Disco could end up this week below are the first 7 week runs of Kylie’s studio albums.

If Disco manages 7 consecutive weeks Top 20 it will match Kylie, Enjoy Yourself and Fever in being her only studio albums to do so.

DISCO #23 (2,435 sales)

;)

23 isnt bad but i would prefer top 20, sales are on the decline again this week across the chart, 5k should be very doable for this week.
Very decent to be #23 - hopefully it can climb a few places but no drama if it doesn’t, everything now feels like a bonus tbh.
I hope it doesn't drop any lower but ideally will get back into the top 20, with the news recently though i think sales are going to fall of completely in general not just for Kylie)

Yes I think they will be flat for weeks to come - streaming I’m sure will dominate more than normal over the coming weeks so I am expecting some big declines for Disco.

well hopefully supermarkets are stocked up with Disco in next few days as the online outlets wont be able to guarantee Xmas delivery so people wont buy them as much. She is in that vulnerable position of needing streaming as the likes of Queen etc are lurking. .

they could have sold more i think etc but will want hopefully a good January impact month with a new single and continue its top 40 run. Some of those Xmas big sellers and Xmas albums will drop off..... Dolly, Jamie, Alfie, Robbie.

Kylie doing a fashion item on Lorraine Xmas Day Show! Perfect!

get Real Groove performed or on in the background and an Xmas Day EP released

Shed Seven’s live album is the only one currently ahead of Kylie that will likely fall heavily as the week goes on so it looks like a 21-25 week for Kylie.

yep lets hope top 25

it must be a very close week. she probably could be anywhere 20-40!! lol

if supermarkets are in stock that will help as those desperate xmas shoppers in Tier 4

^^ The entertainment section was closed in my local Sainsbury’s today as it’s not an essential area/item. It will only be getting sales from the areas of the country that are not in Tier 4.
Shed seven will fall like a stone as most of the sales will be from the die hard fans so Kylie at worst should be number 22.
