When was Feed Your Love registered relative to it getting officially released? :mario:

I don't remember. Feed Your Love was registered years before Spice 25 though.

Ok, I’m a bit of an insomniac, so I went down the rabbit hole. These are the only discrepancies that I noticed. I hope this helps some. I’ll try to find the appropriate links from Spice News or other

I never found credits for All We Need, so that is definitely interesting to see. It’s been a good 15 years since I searched publishing for the Touch era writers. I kinda lost interest and was more int

Someone did post on Spice Circle a couple of weeks back the 'project' Mel B was talking about was a proper album of unreleased songs that all 5 are involved in sorting. He gave a Nov 2023 release date, the post was taken down soon after.

Have no idea if it is true, though there are rumblings things are back on track in terms of the 4 getting close to signing that tour deal. There is defo a very pro Spice feel on social media this last few weeks, even Geri has been liking insta posts on the official account and they all promoted Stop even down to Emma posting it on her Youtube community.

Wasnt that just some random fan putting shit out there?

I havent heard ANY ramblings about them being 'back on track' to be honest, but I would love a tour announcement + a new repackaged Greatest Hits with a bonus CD of unreleased tracks (including Feed Your Love of course). That would work so well, specially with the documentary coming along as well (if that is still happening?...)

I was skeptical but Chris said on Spice circle that Mel C wouldn't be releasing an album this year. Cant think why she would delay until 2024 unless there was a big Spice girls pay day to push it back.

The Stop video release was the first time the website has been updated since SW25 was released too.

A November release of some sort with a coinciding tour would mean we would have an announcement by the end of April I'd expect. Would also maybe nicely time it for Glastonbury 2024 to be the end of it with Victoria.

Hhmmm Im skeptical... Spice History has taught me to keep expectations lower... Plus, I doubt they would do November tour - but they might announce it then! If they would do a tour it would most probably be a stadium one and it would need to be in the summer (cos school holidays and also the weather!)

I shall keep my expectations at the bare minimum until we hear anything at all

Maybe we will get a physical re-release of Wannabe (Junior Vasquez In-Demand Remix Edit).

There is no saying it would be stadiums. One of the things I was told when Geri pulled out of Australia is the rain at some of the stadium shows really ruined those dates for her. She had this vision in her head of how these shows would be perfect and her soaking wet through and freezing cold was not in the plan. I think it was Bristol? that was particulary brutal.

Big arenas gives them more options as they could tour anywhere any time.

A rarities album might do well in November alongside a tour announcement. I'll believe it when I see it though.

Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch :yahoo: That's my line. Give it back.

The most natural release would be Goodbye25 along with a tour of the same name.

Come on girls ... it's right there. It's RIGHT there!

It could do ok for them but its probably never going to happen unfortunately.

It would probably sell the same amounts as Spiceworld25 did, or something similar. A CD/Vinyl + streaming release would be enough to get a Top20 from them imo...

I see them doing the same for Forever. A simple 2CD + a one vinyl and they will be done with it

If a rarities album did well in the charts maybe they’d be motivated to record a new album.

I'm still not convinced that they will even acknowledge Forever25. It's not exactly an era worth celebrating on the same magnitude as their first two albums. Plus, Gerita has nothing to gain from Forever 25.

I'm sure if they are on good terms, Gerita will definitely share it on her instagram stories :teresa:

They haven't been a recording force, or any kind of force except sporadic tours, since 2000... I'm not sure. They went out with the Year of the Dragon, and like the dragon, rhey have been extinct ever since.

A rarities album with ACTUAl, emreworked singles - GO, GO, GO (massively impactful in 1999 - imagine the gossip!), W.O.M.A.N, Walk of Life x 5, Spice is Back, Painproof Tell Me Why dance remix, IYWHSF(SOMM)(AYHF?)(AYHF?)(AYHF?)(NO!) dance remix, could be a very interesting run of new singles, and might even do something in the charts...

They aren't as big as Take That obviously, but still. They might get a no.1 or no.2 album our of it like Steps or All Saints.

Hmm, I would love if they just rapackage it with the Greatest Hits instead ( Disc 2 of sort) so that it will help the album to sell even more
I have my hopes we'll get some more unreleased music. My concern is the group and their team may not believe the public has much interest in new (to us) stuff. Response was somewhat quiet to Feed Your Love and Step To Me (not new to us, but new to streaming). There are easy explanations for that. Feed Your Love is a fairly subtle jam that I personally like...but it doesn't demand attention. And there was never a point I couldn't find someplace to listen to Step To Me...even if it wasn't on Spotify specifically. But...I could see someone at the label looking at those low streaming numbers for those two (and Headlines and Voodoo)...and thinking any small effort they give should just be on the established hits.

Sadly without involvement from the girls as a group (not solo interviews which have little to no effect on their sales/streams), the streams will always be very low. If they want to have at least curiosity streams they need to properly promote it as a band.

The same applies to the Record company. They don't have a deal with the group, so the interaction between label and the group itself is very loose, which doesnt really incentivise either party to promote it. If the record company actually do give the girls a new record deal, then that would certainly move things around a lot more and they would be more prominent. Without one, the rights and management of their back catalogue is squarely on the record company side.

But when it comes to anniversary editions like, this we can look at other artists that are more prominent like Madonna, who's releases havent quite set the streaming charts alight either... Her latest releases (not new music but re-issues of the singles and albums with some old bsides or unreelased tracks) are roughly on 300,000 streams each so not exactly huge reach...

Legacy acts are known for their singles and albums and the general public wont invest in unreleased music. These are purely for fan-service, and fans will engage and buy the physical records, but success in these will be very limited (unless you are like Taylor Swift).

The real test for them would be new music. If it flops like Headlines and Voodoo then their assumptions would be correct though... I'd like to think that new musci from them today would be better received - or at least park more curiosity - than the reception they got in 2007 where the media and the public was very much against them still.
