I find the concept of Forever25 a bit difficult to wrap my head around. Sure, there's more or less a whole other album from 1998/1999 that they never released and it would be great to get that, but given how many unreleased tracks they are still hoarding and sleeping on (from Spice at least), I am doubtful anything will come out of the vault, especially for an album where the group wasn't unified as a 5 piece to begin with. Can't imagine Gerita White celebrating an era that she forced yet wasn't a part of.

 

However, I will say, I think new artwork for Forever25, if it happens, would alone be considered a win by the fanbase. I still remembering buying the album on the day it came out here and looking at in my hands and thinking: they look exhausted; 'colours of the world' my arse. :teresa: I'm not saying the entire album is poor, but it just ... wasn't the best version of what they could have been as a 4-piece (in my opinion). I think if they made a 4 piece album today, it would be a better record because they just seem in a much better place with everything.

I agree, I just don't see a Forever 25 happening. Geri has nothing to do with that era. Melanie C was dealing with her mental health issues at that time. I don't see her celebrating Forever.

 

A b-side/rarities album released at the end of June along side their Glastonbury performance would probably sell well. I believe you have suggested this before Equinox8.

I think Forever 25 would’ve only worked had it been released in 1998 and next year was its anniversary.

 

They aren’t going to wait until 2025 to do something like this again. I’d be very surprised if they did.

Thanks for the mention, Sideout! I have mentioned that before yes - I just think the next year is going to be their last BIG celebration of what they achieved. With all the press, it would be a smart time to bulk up their catalogue with either unreleased tracks or (heaven forbid) new music.

This is usually so those listening to the songs (the label) are aware that particular track is still in it's early stages and will have changes.

Oh I never realised... So maybe the other tracks are at a more advanced level, like the Elliott Kennedy tracks that leaked (which were almost finished too before being discarted).

In order to shed light into this Spice mistery, we simply MUST have a Forever25 which includes a 2CD with the CD1 as the original tracklist and a CD2 with an exclusively demos and unreleased tracks ONLY tracklist please and thank you Mel B Gerita Flawless Chizzo Vicky Bex :yahoo: :cheer:

When reading through old Billboard Magazines they confirmed the 'Boyfriend/Girlfriend' duet in Studio X in Seattle during a tour stop in Tacoma. The tour date was August 8th 1998 and they had 3 days off prior.

Hopefully we get Go Go Go since it's Biff's favorite. He says so in the comments of that Instagram post with the Forever songs.

They are more likely to release a special edition box with all available materials: demos, live, remixes, unreleased and some new songs. In this context, songs not released in the Forever era would make more sense too. I see this happening along with the next tour to celebrate one last time. I also believe that this time there will be a professional recording of the tour for the commercial purpose that can compose this box. Full circle, finally.

A new demo titled Cool, Calm, Collected written by Victoria has leaked. It seems like it is sang by a session singer, but on ASCAP it is registered with Victoria's name.

 

It is out there, not sure if I can post the link here though but it is on Spice Circle.

 

Got me thinking... Do we want to expand on the list to include the solo unreleased/demos we know of?

 

I know some of Emma's and I know of one from Mel B but beyond that, I am not sure at all from the others.

 

If you know of unreleased songs and demos from the solo girls, write them here and I will do some hunting over Christmas as well
