I believe that is included on one of their Christmas Playlists for some reason so will be getting a boost from that.

I think Kworb is wrong there if it’s Apple Music you’re talking about, it’s showing up at #170 on Apple Music for me with quite a few other non Xmas songs above it

Interestingly Slade has entered at #93 in the US, didn't realise it would be a thing at all over there :lol:

Does anyone think that some of the Christmas songs would’ve been streamed over 2 million times today on Spotify alone?

Wham was on 1.8m on Xmas eve so most def would have broken the 2m streams today!

I wonder if Wham are benefitting from people getting the movie as secret santa gifts etc.. this year? We've had a lot of sales for it throughout xmas with people buying multiple copies and saying that they're gifts (as well as for themselves) and stocking fillers etc..

 

Not sure how much that would affect their streams/sales before Christmas day though and could explain why it's doing auch huge numbers.

Yeh so Mariah and Wham will most def be top 20 next Friday, get ready for radio 1 to quietly skip them lol. Will be on the mtv channels until Thursday 7th Jan too!

I know it’s still a long shot but it would be amazing if it could be Wham’s week officially.

Wham! done about 15 times more that Whoopty, the highest non-ACR Xmas song (assuming positions is on ACR now), which is still more than 7 times it even with Wham on ACR, it seems pretty likely both Wham and Mariah will still be top 10 next week

 

I also wouldn’t be surprised to see them be #1 and #2 on Spotify tomorrow still
