The What Do I Have To Do lyric is one of the best lines in a Kylie song.

At first, I was surprised Spinning Around wasn't in the Top 10. But then I remembered just how many damn singles Kylie has over 33 years

I wouldn't be able to choose between IBIY or SA. I gave them 10s for different reasons, for loving different elements of each song, and it's hard to "rank" these reasons. Just like how I can't rank Kylie's albums, I'd probably come to my Top 20 cluster of her singles, and find myself unable to definitively rank any further

Though, I can definitely say I'd rank Spinning Around higher than On a Night Like This :P

OANLT, In My Arms, Confide, Say Something, and Magic would definitely NOT be in my Top 20. I do think proximity bias played a big part in how highly the DISCO singles ranked. Though, everyone seems to consider Say Something one of Kylie's classics already, and I...find it okay -_-

We're a million miles apart in a thousand ways

15. Say Something | 8.5 Highest Scores: 10: (Nina West, Davidson, Pippa, Feel The Fever, Jade, blacksquare, Lukuzz, Liam.k, Qween), Lowest Scores: 5: (vibe, Spiceboy)

At #15 & coming as quite a SHOCK, especially considering how new it is, but the high scores speak for themselves. In at #15 is Say Something, released in July 2020 as the lead single from her 15th studio album Disco. Kylie wrote the song back in September 2019 with Ash Howes and its producers Jonathan Green and Richard Stannard & recorded in Brighton England. Upon release the song was met with critical acclaim & went onto reach a peak of #56 on the UK singles chart after the release of the album after previously charting at #82. Furthermore, it peaked on the UK Singles Downloads and Sales charts at number nine and 11, respectively & became her biggest airplay hit since "Get Outta My Way" back in 2010.

When Kylie announced that she was gonna do a full on Disco album, of course us fans were thrilled. But choosing this as the first single wasn't quite what we expected as this represents something very different musically for Kylie. However with each repeated listen this really draws you in with its rich decadent sound that takes its time in creating something transcendent. Kylie's vocals are of course on top form here & perhaps her best in years as multi layers soars in the bridge & chorus, as well as the wonderful choir towards the end which adds something a little different yet fantastic at the same time. There's also some real warmth that radiates from the message & just a joy to listen to.

SS is a good song but not worthy of a Top 15 IMO, newer songs always tend to fair better in these polls though initially.

Say Something is a strong song in a very strong catalogue.

It is likely to be much lower if the countdown was a year or 2 down the line.

14. Dancing | 8.5 Highest Scores: 11: (365, elf), 10: (Nina West, ___∆__, Pippa, Feel the Fever, Tawdry Hepburn, HausofHitchcock), Lowest Scores: 3: (Davidson)

At the #14 spot is the last of Kylie's country songs to feature here - Dancing. released in January 2018 as the lead single from her 14th studio album Golden.
The song was the singer's first material with BMG and Liberator, after finishing her contract with British label Parlophone two years prior & marked a change in musical direction by adapting a more country pop sound. It was her A&R manager had suggested incorporating country music into the record, with Kylie being a huge fan of Dolly Parton, she acknowledged positively. Upon release the song received critical acclaim & became a commercial success by reaching a #38 peak in the UK becoming her 51st top 40 hit there & would go onto to peak at #46 in her homeland Australia, tying with 'ITB' as her lowest peaking lead single, but would earn a Gold disc there & be her biggest selling hit in several years.

Well, well I find it interesting that this scored the same score/average as 'SS' (also a lead single), but would be placed higher to its 2 scores of 11. Yet another example of one of Kylie's major reinventions & a pretty successful one as well as kicking off a brand new chapter of her career & this couldn't have been a more perfect choice to set that tone for what's to come. The track is pure greatness, its catchy, its uplifting & unlike anything else in her back catalogue. The double meaning of the lyrics adds another perfect layer to the whole thing, not only given this some weight & meaning, yet sets the perfect mantra for her. On the whole this is everything an authentic Kylie anthem should be.

Such a special song, it's had such an impact on me in the almost 3 years (:o!) since its release and continues to.

I do really love that double meaning.

I still love dancing and really happy it's done so well.

I'd have preferred say something to be ahead of magic and dancing.

‘Dancing’ :cheer:

Love that this has become a staple and is known by the GP - quite a feat for a Kylie single these days!

Wait what have I been missing for 3 years?

Dancing has done very well all things considered, its always managed to keep adding sales since its release which is great to see.

Take a chance tonight and try something new

13. Get Outta My Way | 8.54 Highest Scores: 10: (Nina West, 365, dabbile, ready for it, Simon, HausofHitchock, Qween), Lowest Scores: 5: (Feel The Fever)

At #13 & almost matching its chart peak - Get Outta My Way, released in September 2010 as the 2nd single from her 11th studio Aphrodite, due to its instant popularity amongst fans. The track was written and produced by Mich Hansen, Lucas Secon, Damon Sharpe, Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen alongside Stuart Price, who served as an additional producer. Upon release it received positive reviews & had moderate impact on the charts worldwide, failing to match the success of the lead single with a #12 peak in the UK, making this her first physically released single to miss the top 10 since 1998. Elsewhere it managed top 40 peaks in France 8 Ireland, as well as lower minor peaks in Germany, Japan, Switzerland & Australia where it became her lowest charting single at the time.

Not sure what went wrong with its release, considering all the praise it had by fans deeming it an instant Kylie classic & of course the perfect follow up choice. A full-on, hard-edged club/dance tune that builds and builds throughout the verses, two bridges and eventually a powerful chorus with strong, confident vocals with refined & polished production that immediately impacts you the listener. A firm modern Kylie classic that if I was gonna slightly nitpick maybe the vocals were slightly overproduced, but that doesn't make this any less enjoyable. Just a great track all-round & well deserving of its cult classic status.

Due to huge popularity in the forum I expected Get Outta My Way to come Top 10.
