I'll forgive and forget

4. Better The Devil You Know | 9.44 Highest Scores: 11: (Nina West, Slowdown73, ready for it, Feel the Fever, Spiceboy, Stuart25), 10:(Red Blooded Man, Davidson, 365. ___∆__, Pippa, dandy, Tawdry Hepburn, Liam.k), Lowest Scores: 5.5: (Nick F1)

At the #4 spot is Kylie's earliest examples of re-invention - Better The Devil You Know, released in April 1990 as the lead single from her 3rd studio album Rhythm of Love. The song is known to present her with more sex appeal, as her previous albums were presented with her "girl next door" persona. Her music onwards presented a more independent approach. The song's title is referenced as an idiom. Lyrically, the song was said to be about Minogue's leaving of her TV series 'Neighbours' and her relationship with her then-boyfriend, INXS frontman and singer Michael Hutchence. Upon it's release the track was critically acclaimed & became a commercial smash by hitting top 5 peaks in UK, Australia, Ireland & Belgium, top 10 peaks in Denmark & Finland as well as top 20/40 positions in 8 other countries. In 1998 her homeland Australia, 'Mushroom Records' re-issued the track as part of their 25th Anniversary celebrations where it reached a peak of #59. In 1999 the song was famously covered by British pop group Steps whose version was also successful by reaching a #4 peak on the UK charts. The song is played at 12:30am every Saturday night at London's G-A-Y club.

The Kylie we know today wouldn't have existed if it weren't for this magnificent number. This was her first reinvention, and probably her most critical. While the bubblegum pop numbers may have launched her career, they weren't enough to sustain her ongoing legacy & WOW what an entrance this was to a brand new era, from the first few seconds, this was definitely something very different. It’s still a pop song, but it crosses so effortlessly over to a trendy dance tune with a marked change in Kylie’s vocal strength as she belts over each of the choruses into pure almighty euphoria & almighty infectious energy. Not only a true Kylie classic but has that amazing timeless quality to it also. No wonder this has become such a staple in not only her live shows, but to the gay community & even though it may have been taken over through the years by some of her other hits, this will always be that one true anthem that will always have a place in my heart.

Almost there now, we are down to our final 3 & they are =

On A Night Like This
In Your Eyes
All The Lovers

Forever an anthem - BTDYK

Still love it as much now as I did then and it’s stood the test of time, a pure pop anthem.

Didn't expect to be the lowest voter for Slow

Unpopular opinion but I prefer the Steps version of BTDYK, I rarely play Kylies.

Fantastic top 3. Glad to see BTDYK fall from number 1, great song but I think these 3 left are better

3 In Your Eyes

2 All The Lovers

1 OANlT

Didn't expect to be the lowest voter for Slow

I love the Steps version and it’s always a highlight on their tour but the Kylie one is the only one I listen too.

Seriously shocked with the outcome of the top 5, in your eyes ahead of better the devil you know is a huge nooooooo for me, with better the devil you know I do enjoy the steps version but kylies is much the better for me.
'Better The Devil' is truly one of the all-time greats.

Hoping for...

3. All The Lovers

2. In Your Eyes

1. On a Night Like This

Perfect outcome

Really? I think the Steps version is very inferior to Kylie’s!

Is the world still spinning around?

3. In Your Eyes | 9.48 Highest Scores: 11: (dabbile, Nick F1, Lukuzz, dandy, Liam,k, HausofHitchcock, Dannyboy, elf), 10: (Nina West, Red Blooded Man, Davidson, Simon, blacksquare, Tawdry Hepburn, Qween), Lowest Scores: 5: (Stuart25)

, released in February 2002 as the 2nd single from her 8th studio album Fever. It was written by Minogue, Richard Stannard, Julian Gallagher, and Ash Howes, and produced by Stannard and Gallagher. After the massive success of the lead single 'CGYOOMH', this was announced as the second single due to its popularity & originally set for a January release, but was postponed due to the overwhelming response & radio play of the lead single. Upon its release the song received positive critical reviews & became yet another commercial success by becoming her 7th chart topper in Australia & was certified Gold on pre-sales alone. In the UK it peaked at #3, making this her 22nd top 10 hit. Elsewhere it also topped the charts in Hungary & Romania & hit top 10 peaks in Greece, Poland, Ireland, Finland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland & Denmark, along with top 20 peaks in Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand & Sweden. Of note this only beat 'BTDYK' by a single point.

Anything that Kylie released after the huge & iconic lead single was gonna run the risk of being overshadowed, even if it was a more or less guaranteed success riding on its coat-tails. But thankfully this brilliant track was more than willing to rise to that occasion, thanks to its thumping beats & well crafted production that pulls you into its bass heavy groove, creating yet another brilliant anthem. With infectious melodies & catchy hooks this became a well deserved smash hit on its own merits that continued Kylie's almighty momentum to perfection. This can often get overlooked due to it being sandwiched in between two of her most inescapable anthems, it’s still one of her best numbers.

'On A Night Like This' VS 'All The Lovers'

Who will win, stay tuned to find out....

I love everything about 'In Your Eyes'. That cool and slick funky house vibe, the vocal in the verses, the way the chorus BANGS, the self-referrential "spinning around" bit and the styling of the video. It's utter perfection.

ATL is SO overrated - I mean it’s a really good song but not Top 2 worthy out of her entire catalogue IMO
