You've been bruised, you've been broken

20. Red Blooded Woman | 8.26 Highest Scores: 10: (dabbile, Jade, vibe, Nick F1, blacksquare, Lukuzz, Stuart25, HauspfHitchcock), Lowest Scores: 4.5: (Feel The Fever)

Kicking off the top 20 is the stylish Red Blooded Woman, released in March 2004 as the 2nd single from her 9th studio album Body Language. Written by Johnny Douglas and Karen Poole and produced by the former, Upon release the song was well received by critics with many deeming it an instant standout & became a decent success worldwide by reaching top 5 peaks in Australia & UK, as well as top 10 peaks in Spain, Ireland, Denmark & Italy, along with top 20 peaks in Finland, Greece, Switzerland, Germany, New Zealand & Belgium. Honestly I'm rather surprised this has done so well on here, given that the reception towards this from Kylie fans is always rather mixed at best with many feeling that its too Americanized.
However at the time this Urban flavoured sound was popular at the time & this still has enough of that Kylie charisma & elegance to make it stand out, with its trendy dance/synth beats that oozes with her seductiveness along with some killer hooks & thanks to its stellar classy production, this stands as a really solid track.

Top 20 ? really ? I don't hate its but I'm also very indifferent about it too. Slow and Loving Days were the only great songs on this album.

Don't doubt me just because I am quiet

19. Breathe | 8.3 Highest Scores: 11: (Davidson, ___∆__), 10: (Nina West, Pippa, Feel The Fever, Qween), Lowest Scores: 6: (Simon, blacksquare, Lukuzz)

At #19 another era drops with Breathe, released in March 1998 as the 3rd single from her 6th studio album Impossible Princess, as well as her final one for the Deconstruction Records label. The track is about contemplation and holding back emotions. The lyrics were written by Kylie in Tokyo during her trips with her boyfriend, Stéphane Sednaoui, in late 1995. Upon release it received mostly positive commentary from music critics & became a moderate success by peaking at #14 on the UK singles chart & hit #23 on the Australian charts. Definitely the best track on 'IP' as this is a stunning track with sublime production that really captures the feelings of isolation & claustrophobic of the lyrics as Kylie's vocals & the shimmering synths & balearic beats really draws you into its inner sanctum. As it stands this is one of Kylie’s greatest compositions & in the grand scheme of her career it deserved better.

RBW surprised to see it as high as #20 - the whole BL era was meh for me after Fever.

Good to see the love for ‘Breathe’ - still such an iconic song  Brings back some amazing clubbing days memories too - it was played everywhere at the time.

#18 will be coming later & it will be another 90's hit, there's 4 left, any guesses?
The love for breathe has defiantly grown since it’s release which is great, I love it.

^^ Some massively overrated tracks in the Top 40 IMO such as Wow and SBIT.

The lack of love for ISBSL

GYU is such a bop, glad it made it to #40 it’s usually the forgotten Ultimate Kylie single

Thankfully Breathe is Top 20,sublime song and much superior to Red Blooded Woman at 20 which is much too high.
28. Timebomb - 7.86

The absolute MESS of this release still bothers me  I’m certain TB could have gone Top 15 at least but the release strategy was all over the place, digital download followed 4 weeks later by a Remix EP digital download and finally followed another 4 weeks later with a CD release resulting in a 31-31-56-51-58-97-Out-42-Out chart run :drama:

Timebomb was released without any release structure in place and it suffered chart positions as a result.
breathe is one of her best
I adore Red Blooded Woman don't get how people don't, glad it's top 20

I think I just hated everything about the era after how the iconic Fever was - it seemed so flat compared to the buzz around Fever.

Other than Slow and Loving Days, the whole album was a disappointment for me

It’s not one that’s grown on me over the years either, it feels like a disjointed trend chasing mess :kink:
