Hi everyone,

 

I've finally joined this forum this evening on All I Want For Christmas Is You eve (I hope). I've spent the last hour reading the posts on this forum and loved reading almost all of them. A lot of the comments have made me smile a lot! haha also after the OCC rigged last year's immediately-after-Christmas chart by missing off 4m Youtube views and putting a phantom AIWFCIY cover version in the video chart at 13, I'm really hopeful that tomorrow 26 years of wait will be over (I was probably the only kid in the world that listened to the whole top 40 in 1994 on Christmas Day knowing Mariah could only be number two after it had been announced on the Christmas Day TOTP). That is of course, if the OCC's emergency rigging meeting, attended by Amazon and Jess Glynne's representatives bears no fruit this evening.

But I did like the fact a Christmas song was number one in December again for once!

Mariah's lead has looked insurmountable for a couple of days so it'd definitely take some dodgy Alexa dealings to be surpassed tomorrow you'd think! Mad that history is coming to be re-written 26 years later, I was not even born when this song was originally released :o I do like 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' so yay, happy for this likely outcome.

The OCC's video streaming chart is always full of glitches, I hope you conspiracy theorists have the same energy for the OCC 'rigging the chart' for M1llionz' last single missing the top 40 because they accidentally gave its video streams to his previous single. Never attribute to malice what is more easily explained by incompetence. (Not that the lost video streams for Mariah would even have been enough for her to be #1 iirc).

 

I can't even remember what the supposed rigging against Ava Max was supposed to be - is that literally just the Thursday streaming thing? Because again that applies every week, it's not the OCC having a vendetta against Mariah specifically lol.

 

I love that the fact she will be #1 this week is 'they have to give into it this time!' irrespective of the fact that it'll be #1 with much lower numbers than it stalled at #2 the last two years as well.
