December 10, 20205 yr it's getting higher :D hahaha quite. Last year was scandalous. Where do we even begin? At least if tomorrow goes as it should, we can forget about it to a degree. OCC must be desperate at the moment. All hands-on staff meeting trying to find a way to rig it for number two again.
December 10, 20205 yr 0, the OCC will rig it!!!!!! (this is the last day I have to make this joke, let me make the most of it kink.gif) hahaha quite. Last year was scandalous. Where do we even begin? Apologies to all for my inability to use this site yet...
December 10, 20205 yr hahahahahaha it's laughable. It sold about 152 copies that week if I remember correctly (i.e. people that actually wasted money on directly buying it and were genuine buyers). The rest is Official Rigged Charts history....
December 10, 20205 yr River was the rightful #1, it sold enough to be #1! Can we not... without ACR, it wouldn't have even hit top ten.
December 10, 20205 yr Lucky my birthday was today and not tommorrow I guess AG is lesser of 2 evils to have as birthday number 1
December 10, 20205 yr @1337103373372428307 Wasn't this discussed in this thread earlier?! James reads Buzzjack confirmed? am i famous now
December 10, 20205 yr If Mariah gets it tomorrow, let’s hope Wham! get it next weekI kinda hope Wham! never get it tbh. I like them having the biggest selling single to never reach #1.
December 10, 20205 yr Going by that logic, Mariah sold about 2k last year :D Wow, my first troll after literally 5 minutes. She probably sold 3,000 Mariah. But at least anything she got was genuine. Might want to check out the degree of the fix last year. Look at the 5-19 fall on the video streaming charts that week and the phantom number 13 entry in that chart that didn't exist on YouTube. Also the over 4 million (MILLION) views on YouTube that were conveniently omitted. When it was questioned, nothing happened. So it wasn't an oversight. It was deliberate. River - a poor cover that will be remembered for years....ummmm.....?
December 10, 20205 yr People get so passionate about AIWFC  Let's face it by old rules it would never have been #1 just thank your lucky stars it's getting a chance now...

River - a poor cover that will be remembered for years....ummmm.....? This. As well as the Ava Max fiasco... there’s obviously been an effort to keep Mariah from going #1. Thankfully this week there’s absolutely no competition... imagine if Christmas songs didn’t exist and Positions was #1 with barely (if even) 30k! They had to finally give in to it. AIWFCIY must have the record for the most weeks at #1 without being the official #1.
December 10, 20205 yr People get so passionate about AIWFC  Let's face it by old rules it would never have been #1 just thank your lucky stars it's getting a chance now... By old rules? You mean without streaming? With the #1 not even selling 10k? With normal streaming rules it would’ve been #1 about 3 years in a row now. Times have changed!
December 10, 20205 yr People who don’t like Mariahs AIWFCIY are the same as people who don’t like dogs. Ones to be watched.
December 10, 20205 yr People get so passionate about AIWFC  Let's face it by old rules it would never have been #1 just thank your lucky stars it's getting a chance now... LOL yep. Completely true! I am! The only positive to come out of the debacle that is streaming...even a broken clock is right twice a day... It is the UK's most popular Christmas song though. It still surprises me though, as even though it got to number two in 1994, it was laregly overlooked and unappreciated (as odd as that sounds for a number two record that sold 400,000+ on its first run in a day where sales did matter). I would happily have Wham! and the Pogues at number one two (as long as Mariah makes it first this week). Like other people have joked, even if it never charted again, at least it's got what it deserves tomorrow if it happens (which surely it should now). I understand that people will be sick and tired of it by now too.

Depends what you mean by old rules, because it's currently on track to be #1 on pure sales for the first time ever this week too!!
