November 12, 20213 yr The team just looked so much more comfortable and balanced playing with the wing backs. Not sure it brings the best out of the likes of Foden/Grealish, but it suits the rest of the team far, far more. With so little time to get together between now and the World Cup, I guess Southgate has to start making his choices. Clearly he's going for the core 18 players and then the rest of the places are probably up for grabs. Thought Henderson was superb tonight.

November 15, 20213 yr Italy are consigned to the play-offs after drawing with Northern Ireland. Bizarrely, they could fail to qualify for successive World Cups while winning the Euros in between.
