All a bit scrappy now in the England match, as you’d expect in the wake of a triple substitution.

England ping some triangles. Both teams happy to run down the clock, it would seem.
The team just looked so much more comfortable and balanced playing with the wing backs. Not sure it brings the best out of the likes of Foden/Grealish, but it suits the rest of the team far, far more. With so little time to get together between now and the World Cup, I guess Southgate has to start making his choices. Clearly he's going for the core 18 players and then the rest of the places are probably up for grabs. Thought Henderson was superb tonight.

And watching the second half was a total waste of time

If Russia qualify they won't be able to call themselves Russia, due to the ban on Russian athletes competing in major sporting events.
Is that right? They were still called Russia for the Euros this year.

The ban only applies for ‘global events’ so the Euros was not applicable.

Well good to see that Kane still cares about England records at least, Spurs fans must be fuming
Italy are consigned to the play-offs after drawing with Northern Ireland. Bizarrely, they could fail to qualify for successive World Cups while winning the Euros in between.
