I'm still fairly sure Paul McCartney will get the Xmas #1 album but I guess it now appears Neil Diamond might be a bigger threat than Ball & Boe!

 

Those who bought the Christmas edition of Radio Times got a £2 voucher (page 40) to use with Neil Diamond's CD in Tesco (valid 8/12/20 to 31/12/20). So this probably boosted sales.

 

Don't think McCartney will get the Xmas #1 (probably top 5). It's bound to be Taylor Swift as she releases her physical CD this Friday. Macca is only #14 on Amazon CDs & Vinyl.

It was £4.99 on HMVs daily ‘Price Crash’ deal which has helped it, Neil Diamond is their price crash item today.

 

Um.. ok, it still been rather stable and rising back up before the sale, and hasn’t left the top 20 unlike Shawn & that yungblud

But Macca has been on pre order a lot longer than Taylor so that doesn't mean too much...... At this point before Kylie release none of her formats where top 20 in Amazon best sellers that week and then.....

Maybe it’s because I’ve only recently started following this thread closely and it’s been like that the entire time but damnnnnn the levels of patronisation in this thread when you dare to go against the grain. :’)

 

At least Positions isn’t looking to be #1 now so levels of toxicity and bitterness automatically dropped down by 85%.

Actually they can because it’s still called an opinion. I loved evermore and it’s the first TS album I loved but I still think Taylor is somewhat bland overall

If Taylor released 12 vinyls and 12 cassettes and 18 CDs like everybody's doing, she'd have a chance next week

but she's releasing 1 format only: 1 CD available

no multifiormats, no vinyls, no cassettes

 

in comparison, Macca has 9 vinyls alone!
