201 KOOLKID - We're So Blind | 9-22-35-x

202 Gunnar Gehl - One Night | 15-13-23-37-x

203 Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber - Stuck With U | 10-19-27-x

204 Katy Perry - Daisies | 6-13-25-28-37-x

205 Justin Bieber - Yummy | 8-12-28-31-x

206 Greyson Chance - Honeysuckle | 7-13-21-x

207 Internet Money feat. The Kid LAROI - Speak | 6-16-23-x

208 JayXander - HOODIES | 12-25-32-34-x

209 Gunnar Gehl - Good Enough | 10-18-24-36-x

210 Victor Leksell - Svag | 40-37-32-24-19-19-27-38-x

One of the slowest burners of the year, Victor Leksell's second entry of two kicks off this section. Svag has been a GIGANTIC hit in Sweden but, unsurprisingly considering it's a Swedish language track, it hasn't crossed over globally. Gunnar Gehl appears twice, his first and (so far) only top 10 hit actually only being his third highest entry at #209, with One Night seven places higher. Gunnar's releases throughout the second half of 2020 were slightly hindered by being midweek - One Night would surely have been a top 10 had it come out on a Friday! More top 10s drop here from Internet Money and The Kid LAROI - the first of two credited collabs by them - as well as Greyson Chance, Katy Perry (her highest track) and Justin Bieber, who is shockingly low for a lead single though I'll maintain Yummy gets a hard time. In fact, Bieber appears twice here, his other song is with Ariana Grande on Stuck With U just two spots above. JayXander's debut hit is among a field that is increasingly representing top 10 hits so it's a pretty good showing for him, and we close the section with the first of four KOOLKID (aka Ryan Lawrie of X Factor fame) entries - wonder how many people might recognise the person in the thumbnail below? x

191 Mendez feat. Alvaro Estrella - Vamos Amigos | 20-28-x

192 Cosmo's Midnight & Ruel - Down for You | 8-20-25-x

193 Selena Gomez - Boyfriend | 8-15-26-37-x

194 KOOLKID - 2 Soon | 10-14-24-x

195 Delta Goodrem - Let It Rain | 3-7-17-26-x

196 Powfu feat. Mounika. - stay4ever | 7-14-27-38-x

197 Maia Wright - View | 4-9-18-35-39-x

198 Betty Who - The One | 9-12-19-31-x

199 SAINt JHN - Roses (Imanbek Remix) | 28-x-25-19-16-15-15-22-33-x

200 Griff - Love Is a Compass | 9-18-x

The top 10 hits really start coming thick and fast now we reach the top 200, but a couple of top 20 hits have managed to perform well enough to feature! SAINt JHN's breakthrough hit Roses, with Imanbek on remix duty, was an impressively long runner for a track that only peaked at #15, undoubtedly one of the best dance songs of 2020! Mendez's latest Melodifestivalen anthem proved to be one of the most uplifting tracks of the year too, so despite only two weeks top 40 and a peak of #20, Vamos Amigos secures itself a place in the top 200 from lots of trickle plays. Elsewhere, Griff's Christmas advert track Love Is a Compass provided her with her first hit just before Christmas, while there are also debut hits for Maia Wright, Mounika. (alongside Powfu) and Cosmo's Midnight (alongside Ruel). Betty Who scored her first top 10 with BJSC winner The One, and KOOLKID's first single under that new name slides into the top 200 as well. Selena Gomez's Boyfriend marks the first of three tracks from her Rare album to feature (bear in mind Lose You to Love Me and Look At Her Now counted to 2019!), and slap bang in the middle is Delta Goodrem's Let It Rain, a charity single to raise money to tackle the Australian bushfires. Remember when that was the biggest issue of 2020?

181 KOOLKID - Feelings | 10-14-30-40-x

182 Klara Hammarström - Nobody | 39-10-23-28-38-x

183 Louise - Hurt | 8-11-18-34-x

184 Jennifer Lopez - In the Morning | 9-21-30-x

185 Rory Webley - Genie in a Bottle | 9-8-22-28-x

186 Ariana Grande - 34+35 | 33-x-9-19-14-…

187 Gunnar Gehl - Nobody Knows | 15-12-20-24-35-x

188 Alec Benjamin - Just Like You | 9-20-35-x

189 R3HAB, Astrid S & HRVY - Am I the Only One | 7-19-39-x

190 The Kid LAROI feat. YoungBoy Never Broke Again & Internet Money - TRAGIC | 15-9-22-35-x

The second collaboration between The Kid LAROI and Internet Money drops out first in this section (though the Internet Money-produced WRONG is still to come, much higher!), followed by a collaboration between R3HAB and two artists who still have more songs to come - Astrid S and HRVY. R3HAB however has now lost all of his tracks. Alec Benjamin's highest non-single is next with Just Like You, his ode to his father, followed by Gunnar Gehl's top track. Jennifer Lopez makes her one and only appearance of the year in this section, as does Louise with the wonderful Hurt, and newcomers Rory Webley (with the weirdest music video of the year) and Klara Hammarström. Ariana's saucy 34+35 took a little while to grow on me but finally scored a top 10 peak just before Christmas, and KOOLKID's second highest track closes this section. He has one more song to come, and I can exclusively reveal he hasn't lost all four songs in four consecutive sections x

7 Lady Gaga

I've been a Gaga fan for years now and she continues to be one of the most exciting artists around, because you never really know what's coming next. After achieving massive success with A Star Is Born and gaining something of a career revival, all eyes were on Gaga to see what her next studio album would achieve. I remember Stupid Love leaking in early 2020 and I listened to it with our resident #1 Gaga stan Haus - we both listened to it just the once but it was an electrifying experience and set my expectations sky high for the new era. I still loved it upon release, too, but it was with Rain On Me where things kicked up a gear. The track became Gaga's first #1 in my chart, and was a huge ray of sunshine among the doom and gloom of lockdown 1.0. The incredible video and the experience of watching it together for the first time with some of my closest friends from Buzzjack made it even more special. In fact, Gaga has been the #1 artist for unifying my friends and I this year. We all love Gaga, and that was proved further when we listened to Chromatica together for the first time. It was a wild ride full of excitement and a night I'll never forget. Gaga represented everything we truly needed in 2020 - unity and escapism, and she brought us both in droves.

171 Alec Benjamin - The Book of You & I | 8-14-23-35-x-40-x

172 Young T & Bugsey feat. Headie One - Don't Rush | 39-10-8-13-29-x

173 Lady Gaga & Elton John - Sine From Above | 13-29-x

174 GRACEY & Ruel - Empty Love | 16-x-38-7-16-24-40-x

175 Kygo & Donna Summer - Hot Stuff | 5-15-31-x

176 Peder Elias - Easy | 8-18-28-37-x

177 jens - Nocturnal | 9-20-31-x

178 Lauv & Conan Gray - Fake | 9-11-22-32-x

179 MARINA - About Love | 6-11-23-38-x

180 ASHS - Don't Call Me | 7-10-17-31-x

Alyssa Reid, now known as ASHS, added another top 10 hit to her tally in 2020 with the catchy Don't Call Me, and is one of a few familiar faces to pop up in this section, alongside Marina's first entry of two and the star power (well, for my chart anyway x) collab of Lauv and Conan Gray. Interestingly, two tracks that debuted side-by-side also end up together in my countdown - Peder Elias scored his first two top 10s in 2020 and Easy was his first as a lead, while jens' Nocturnal started just one place lower that same week. Both artists have a #1 track to come! Kygo reworked Donna Summer's Hot Stuff for a fun new version, and Alec Benjamin's first actual single of 2020 leaves us here in the form of The Book of You & I. Elsewhere, we have a selection of artists who all scored their first hits in 2020. GRACEY's Empty Love charted just before Don't Need Love and ultimately peaked higher with the help of a great guest verse from Ruel. Young T & Bugsey's Don't Rush blew up again with the help of TikTok and the song grew in my estimations, becoming one of the biggest rap hits of the year and securing the achievement of actually making my top 10! Finally, Elton John nabbed his first ever hit with help from Lady Gaga - Sine from Above didn't make my top 10 but regular trickle listens has helped it secure a really strong EOY position.

161 HRVY & Matoma - Good Vibes | 7-17-36-x

162 Tate McRae - you broke me first | 25-6-17-22-34-x

163 Kristian Kostov - Honest | 7-15-29-40-x

164 Zedd & Jasmine Thompson - Funny | 8-16-37-x

165 Declan McKenna - Be An Astronaut | 25-8-7-21-25-36-x

166 MARINA - Man's World | 8-13-28-38-x

167 Oscar Enestad - 16 år | 5-19-24-32-x

168 Zara Larsson - Love Me Land | 6-19-39-x

169 DaBaby feat. Roddy Ricch - ROCKSTAR | 37-9-15-22-35-x

170 Little Mix - Holiday | 6-20-25-39-x

The first of Little Mix's three entries falls only a bit short of the top half of the countdown - Holiday outpeaked Break Up Song but fell quicker, in part due to a high turnover in my chart over the summer. Oscar Enestad's 16 år, his first entry of five, suffers the same fate as it debuted the exact same week. DaBaby's ROCKSTAR proved to be a grower, debuting in my chart several weeks after it climbed the UK charts mostly thanks to the Black Lives Matter remix which added a poignancy to the track in its new verse. No stranger to getting top 10 hits, Zara Larsson nabbed another in 2020 with Love Me Land, her highest appearance of two in this countdown. The same goes for Marina, with Man's World registering as her top track of the year. Declan McKenna loses another track in the form of Bowie-esque Be An Astronaut, followed by Zedd and Jasmine Thompson's team-up on the underrated Funny, a track that deserved much better than it got! Another underrated team-up comes from HRVY and Matoma, with the boppy Good Vibes still failing to give HRVY the hit his label are clearly banking on. Tate McRae's breakthrough hit you broke me first became a top 10 hit for me though its longevity is definitely not as good as in the UK chart, and to close out the section, Kristian Kostov finally wiped his one hit wonder status away with Honest, another top 10 to his name after scoring a #1 with Beautiful Mess in 2017.

Good Vibes and Be An Astronaut are both tunes! Interesting that they both appear at similar times in our EOYs despite you being over 100 places behind me. Giving Honest a listen now, I'm quite enjoying it! Better than his Eurovision entry for me, I can't even remember how that one goes whoops.

Thanks Pete! That's quite the coincidence  glad you liked Honest!!

151 Michael Johnston - Trust Me | 4-13-31-x

152 Paloma Faith - Better Than This | 6-13-27-33-40-x

153 Hanna Ferm - Brave | 8-12-17-37-x

154 The Kid LAROI - SAME THING | 12-18-29-x

155 Declan McKenna - The Key to Life on Earth | 9-18-27-32-35-x

157 Jutes - Bad Dream | 6-16-25-36-x

159 Mishaal - Peddle Bike | 19-5-15-21-28-40-x

160 Sam Smith & Demi Lovato - I'm Ready | 5-11-21-35-x

Sam Smith and Demi Lovato's team-up on I'm Ready got somewhat maligned on Buzzjack and it didn't fare very well in the charts either, but I always really enjoyed it, and I still do! One of my favourite Sam tracks in fact. Saudi Arabian singer Mishaal swerved being a one hit wonder after #1 hit Friends (still to come) and scored a second top 5 with Peddle Bike later in the year. On the topic of one hit wonders, there's a few in this section who are yet to score a second hit. One of which is Jomie, who, much like Mishaal, scored his first hit alongside Powfu. Jutes and Hanna Ferm also have only one hit so far, as does former Teen Wolf star Michael Johnston - the second Teen Wolf actor to score a chart hit for me, after Froy. Elsewhere in this section, Oscar Enestad loses a second track of four after finishing as my EOY #1 last year, Declan McKenna loses his third and final track, The Kid LAROI drops one more album track and Paloma Faith's only 2020 appearance just misses the top half.

6 Melanie C

Growing up I didn't actually know any of Melanie C's solo tracks. I only really got to know more than a small handful of them when listening to every Spice Girls single for the Spice Rate in the Buzzjack forum at the end of 2019, and instantly, I fell in love with many of Melanie's songs. They're right up my street, which makes me feel slightly disappointed not to have heard many of them years back! Obviously hits like Never Be the Same Again and I Turn to You are both huge tunes, but lesser appreciated tracks like This Time and Carolyna stand up just as strong. As far as catalogue tracks go, Melanie C dominated on that front, but she also slayed with her new material in 2020. Embracing a dance-pop sound, Melanie's self-titled eighth studio album was her best to date, varied but with a cohesive flow throughout and honest, sincere lyrics. I'm seeing Melanie live when her tour finally goes ahead (postponed to 2022) and meeting her, and I cannot wait!

141 Alfie Templeman - Obvious Guy | 39-9-17-21-26-38-x

142 Mariette - Shout It Out | 9-15-18-33-x

143 Little Mix - Break Up Song | 9-12-14-20-22-28-37-x

144 Noak Hellsing - No Love | 5-10-14-26-35-x

145 Bastiaan & Torine - Hate You (The Same) | 35-5-15-27-x

146 Dahl - After Ours | 4-11-17-24-38-x

147 Matt Ox - Dazed | 7-16-6-…

148 Daði Freyr - Think About Things | 23-16-14-8-13-23-40-x

149 Justin Bieber & benny blanco - Lonely | 6-12-14-20-23-34-x

150 24kGoldn feat. DaBaby - Coco | 6-14-11-…

Into the top half now! 24kGoldn scored three top 10s in my chart last year and Coco's recency helps it slide into the top half as his first track to appear. Also a more recent hit is Matt Ox's Dazed, undoubtedly one of the most unusual hits my chart's ever seen and I'm not entirely sure I can explain why I like it, but it's a vast improvement on anything else I've heard from him...! Dazed was Matt Ox's first hit, and we see some other debutants in this section too. Norwegian singer Torine featured on Bastiaan's second top 10 hit of the year, and Daði Freyr's would-be Eurovision smash Think About Things managed a top 10 peak eventually after its UK chart success. Mariette's Melodifestivalen anthem Shout It Out became her first top 10 hit, and Alfie Templeman scored his first top tier hit as well with Obvious Guy over the summer - he's already achieved another in 2021 so perhaps a big year for him is coming? Elsewhere, Justin Bieber's Lonely drops out at #149, not one of his biggest hits but it still managed a solid enough chart run. Trevor Dahl's first of two 2020 solo hits is at #146, with another two to come as lead vocalist of Cheat Codes too. Scoring two top 10s in his first year in the industry, No Love is Swedish singer Noak Hellsing's first song to appear, and finally, Little Mix's sublime Break Up Song leaves them with just one track in the running.

Think About Things  Delighted to finally see another Eurovision track hit the charts after all these years! Hearing Dazed now, it... isn't what I was expecting looking at the video thumbnail  I'd agree with your description of 'unusual' but it's this sort of stuff that always ends up growing on me so I guess we'll see!

Thanks Pete!! Interesting thoughts on Dazed, it's definitely catchy and it stands out so perhaps that's why I'm a fan! I'd be intrigued to hear more like that from him because everything else has been really trashy rap :kink: but he's only young so there's time x

131 Fin Argus - My Little Dancer | 7-9-13-24-35-x

132 Megan Thee Stallion feat. Beyoncé - Savage | 20-8-11-14-30-35-x

133 Cheat Codes - Heaven | 16-15-19-26-29-x-40-x

134 Greyson Chance - Bad to Myself | 3-7-17-24-x

135 Carly Rae Jepsen feat. Bleachers - Comeback | 18-27-x

136 Delta Goodrem - Only Santa Knows | 21-14-8-8-8-x

137 AJ Mitchell - Unstoppable | 21-36-x-16-23-20-18-6-13-23-31-x

138 KOOLKID - Only You Now | 16-9-16-23-29-36-x

139 Dua Lipa - Break My Heart | 5-10-13-18-23-32-x

140 Niall Horan - No Judgement | 13-18-35-x-7-11-21-31-x

The quality really begins to soar up from here now! Niall Horan sadly missed the mark a bit with Nice to Meet Ya for me, I never got into it very much, but No Judgement was a big improvement and brought about his only top 10 hit for the Heartbreak Weather era. Dua Lipa's Break My Heart reached my top 5 after just missing out in the UK chart, but finishes lower in the EOY - not one that'll go down as one of her biggest classics but a great track nonetheless! The highest tracks for KOOLKID and AJ Mitchell drop out here; Only You Now is comfortably Ryan's longest runner under his current project, while Unstoppable proved to be a grower and peaked in February after a couple of false starts. Delta Goodrem's Only Santa Knows finishes as the top Christmas song, while Greyson Chance loses one more song, leaving only Dancing Next to Me in the running for him. Megan Thee Stallion's Savage was a song I liked but didn't love, but Beyoncé added a whole heap of star quality with her remix of the track, which turned Savage into a top 10 hit for me - Megan's first and Beyoncé's third, her first since Say Yes in 2014! Fin Argus is at the top of the section with the first of two tracks from the Clouds film, his own self-penned My Little Dancer, which makes use of some unfinished Zach Sobiech lyrics and was written in Zach's style. Finally, we lose our two highest non-top 10 hits here! Carly Rae Jepsen's Comeback was a brief chart hit for me, but it's been a huge "trickle" player for me, I play it often and it's solidifying itself as one of her best tracks now. Cheat Codes take the honour of highest non-top 10, though, as Heaven notched up a pretty lengthy run for a track that didn't reach the top tier. Sadly, my chart was just a bit too busy when Heaven came out and it got snowed under somewhat, but its EOY placement definitely makes up for that.

34+35 & Break Up Song are 2 of my absolute faves of the year. Delighted to see them both here.
LOVE Comeback, you're right it really is one of Carly's best. It's coming soon in my countdown actually, about 100 places higher though!
