January 12, 20215 yr I wonder if Olivia could get close to 100k. She added 14k between the Monday and Tuesday update but I think she could add 20k plus in each of the 3 remaining days, plus a load of missing streams.
January 12, 20215 yr We need to remember that Spotify's share is becoming less and less and Apple and Amazon are taking more of the market these days. Is this just you speculating or do you have access to some kind of insider info that confirms this? (It's hard to tell with your posts sometimes :P) Any sign of Drake releasing yet? Hoping it'll be the 29th if its in January at all so BMTH can get to #1 with their physical release  He'll no doubt announce the release date at most one week in advance. Last we knew it was still meant to be in January but apparently got delayed again because of an injury (presumably holding up a video shoot or something). ~ 'Save Your Tears' solidifying its place in the top 40 further <3 hope it should be safe to remain there all week.
January 12, 20215 yr Olivia guaranteed the Number 1 now, seeing songs debut at number 1 is something different as it doesn't happen nearly as much these days. Loving seeing paradise looking at a possible top 5 this week, was also hoping Becky Hill would be climbing into the top 30 this week. I’m surprised she’s still top 40 considering she’s falling on most platforms!
January 12, 20215 yr Not complaining but what has happened to cheesy Ed's sales?? How did he not get another 300+k no.1?!! My prediction was that he would come back bigger than ever, supplanting Adele after a chart battle with ha! Now he wouldn't even supplant a 25k sang!!!

There are stocking issues. It's just a buzz single/instant grat. etc.
January 12, 20215 yr He released a song that wasn't pandering to the pop crowd x THiS. It’s not his usual single treatment. Released over Christmas, zero hype because he’s been off social media for a year! Still very low sales considering but I don’t doubt when he returns with the lead single he’ll get healthy figures for sure! Even if his popularity has dwindled slightly.
January 12, 20215 yr yes let's ignore Afterglow was instantly added as track 1 in all existing Spotify playlists
January 12, 20215 yr Hope this Olivia track stays at #1 for a long time and blocks Ed and Bieber :cheer: Edited January 12, 20215 yr by Sid_

January 12, 20215 yr No shade but am I missing something with this Olivia song? It's nice but how has it become so big? Who is she?
January 12, 20215 yr Amazing to see Save Your Tears in the top 40. :cheer: Hopefully it becomes another top 20 for Abel at least. A top 10 would be the dream though.
January 12, 20215 yr No shade but am I missing something with this Olivia song? It's nice but how has it become so big? Who is she? It is a beige BJSC ballad that would usually scrape top 75, but I am here for it being no.1 if it beats Cheesy Ed and Pop Brat Justin Bibber AND shows BBC1 up for just playing rap songs all the time and basically no pop, AND shows up Spotify for giving more playlist support to men than women. No idea where the hype came from, but it was probably a tik tok miming challenge of some sort.
January 12, 20215 yr I don't know which one is worse, Afterglow or Anyone. :???: 'Anyone' not even top 5? WE LOVE TO SEE IT. Hope this Olivia track stays at #1 for a long time and blocks Ed and Bieber :cheer: Feel like you may have made your point clear :kink:
January 12, 20215 yr No shade but am I missing something with this Olivia song? It's nice but how has it become so big? Who is she? I Googled her after I'd read she was in High School Musical, only to be a bit baffled with her birthdate of 2003 which would have made her about three years old at the time  Turns out there's some sort of Disney+ TV series that started in 2019 and she's the main character. Would she be the second person born in the 2000s to have a #1 single after Billie Ellish? My chart knowledge post-2016 is pretty low so apologies if I've missed anyone obvious!

As someone who's been listening to Radio 1 a lot in the daytime lately... they definitely play a lot more "pop" than anything else
