Definitely need the title of this thread updating please :)

Wanted to raise that this has returned to the UK chart this week, landing at #40 following a reset to SCR due to its inclusion in the film Saltburn!

Reading through this thread, I like the alternate reality where this and Golden Skans both got to #1 in 2007.

Is something similar happening with Tomcraft's 'Loneliness' (which was also heard in Saltburn)?

Okay I love that video. The previous video isn't exactly iconic and is incredibly dated (like most 00s dance music videos) but it does have a recognisable charm about it
Tomcraft hasn’t seen any boost, I think Mason was more lucky that his song got a more prominent placing in the film and I guess TikTok must’ve helped it further since. There were quite a few indie songs played in the film too and none of them have had boosts (besides Mr Brightside which was going to always be in the chart anyway).
I assume Tomcraft must have had at least some boost but just not enough to appear in the chart (its baseline streaming must be pitiful considering it's still not crept over the mark to be certified silver, really hope this will accelerate that happening eventually as it really doesn't deserve to be on the list of non-certified #1 hits).
I was really expecting/hoping for a Tomcraft boost as well especially with the trance revival being en vogue right now.
This has aged pretty well really. I always liked the original instrumental but I think I like the vocal version more now, glad to see it back *.*
Calling something a flop because it was in the Top 3. Buzzjack has never changed :kink:

I laughed at exactly the same thing, hilarious

I'm the opposite - find the vocals distract from the energy of the original instrumental megablaster. Found the same with loads of dance classics like 'Love Story' by Bushwhacker/Layo, 'Needin U' by David Morales and 'Tsunami' by Dvbbs/Borgeous. Miles prefer the instrumentals.

But this version is the hit and giving it the publicity so... :music:
