At number 8 we have the gorgeous and underrated Breathe. To me, this is up there with 'Nothing Else Matters' & 'The Cure' as the sort of anthemic, mid-tempo, sing along anthem.
It's so gorgeous and the girls all sound particularly great on it. It's hit a lot harder since Jesy's departure, but I am hoping this kind of picks up as a fan favourite. I really wouldn't mind this being a single... maybe less so now with Jesy's departure (tabloids would have a field day) but I wouldn't be mad at it.
There is production flourishes throughout that really remind me of 'All My Friends' by Snakehips feat. Tinashe & Chance the Rapper.

Breathe deserved better. An album highlight!

Gloves Up is not good....

I forgot to vote in this but how the F is 'Gloves Up' that low? It's a total highlight.

Would have had Gloves Up a bit higher, Breathe too is beautiful and underrated

gloves up was always set-up to fail as soon as they said they wanted it to be like power & salute (although i don't care for salute, personally) Power is immense and any song compared to it is def going to come across weaker and flat

Gloves Up is amazing.

Gloves Up is annoying because it only has two choruses. I hate that structure - why not have a bridge and then a big final

chorus?

Moving on to #7 we have the early 00's inspired pop bop If You Want My Love. I wasn't instantly drawn to this personally, which surprises me even more considering
00's pop (Britney, *NSync, Justin Timberlake etc..) is kinda my lane, but it's such an ear worm.
Both punchy and catchy, it perfectly captures the 00's Max Martin-esque pop sound. Wouldn't be mad at this being a single tbh.

i LOOOVE if you want my love but i wish it was a bit cleaner and a bit longer, but i adore that Y2K sound so much, wish they'd explored it more

Gloves Up is pretty weak for me and finished in about right position

For me this the weakest track, I still like it but 'Breathe' certainly deserves to be above it.

Next to leave and missing the top 5 is the 2nd single from the era. We say goodbye to the sensual mid-tempo bop Holiday. The song that depended on the weather to actually climb the streaming charts *eyes*.
This song seems very marmite with most though. It ended up still being a hit, but I think the songs that finished about it in this rate all deserve to be there and tbh, there's a couple more that I'd place above this too.
The video is green screen heavy, but very well done, I think! I like it!

it's not even like it needed a LOT to be so much better. just a few different tweaks here and there. they could've ditched nothing but my feelings / my love won't let you down and given us some more happiness/sweet melody sounding songs.

 

but this album was never meant to be a start to finish cohesive album, so idk i feel like for what it is, it's great
