Posted February 1, 20214 yr The ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race began airing on March 24, 2017, on VH1. The returning judges included RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley. Fourteen drag queens (including one returnee) competed for the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar". The prizes for the winner are a one-year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics, a cash prize of $100,000, and a crown and scepter provided by Shandar. This season saw the return of season eight contestant Cynthia Lee Fontaine, who finished the competition in 10th place. February 1, 20214 yr 01 = Sasha Velour (love her look and view on drag, plus those winning lipsyncs were amazing) 02 = Valentina (the drama) 03 = Trinity Taylor (a great all-round queen) 04 = Peppermint (lipsync assassin… plus incredibly likeable) 05 = Shea Coulee (I do like her, I just find the top 4 more interesting) 06 = Farrah Moan (I don’t know why she is this high as at time a mess… but a likeable one) 07 = Alexis Michelle (I’ve surprised myself here as I didn’t really like Alexis at the time, on a subsequent rewatch she wasn’t as bad… but she does lack warmth) 08 = Eureka (A difficult ranking considering the injury – Season 10 she excelled though) 09 = Aja (she was a mess this season, All Stars 3 though she was amazing) 10 = Kimora Blac (she could’ve done more tbh) 11 = Jaymes Mansfield (likeable, but didn’t really hit her stride) 12 = Charlie Hides (flatlined and gave up) 13 = Nina Bo'nina Brown (a well of self-pity that stayed too long) 14 = Cynthia Lee Fontaine (she was dreadful and irritating this season)
