It's so fun being a mixer in 2021. Makes the 2 years before worth it

Honestly!

It feels like their best year ever. Two top three singles within a space of 7 months! Never happened before - not even during the "glory days "!

Stream HA non-stop guysssss

2020 was a great year for them, nah? Reviving their commercial popularity, three hit singles, a TV show, tons of hilarious YouTube content and amazing performances plus a hit album and strong tracks.

Really the only lacklustre part of their career was from the Brits 2019 until Break Up Song was released.

Break up song and Holiday had shite music videos and couldnt be promoted properly coz of the pandemic. Sweet melody/confetti album onwards yes. It was more of a general observation that they've hit their stride, are being paid their dues and having a lot of success we can all enjoy and be excited by.

Break Up Song avoided ACR twice. I think you're underestimating how well it did, especially for a song that had zero promo and was released right at the very start of lockdown so had obstacles in their way etc.. also I think after the year they had in 2019 it is the song that very much kept them in favour with radio. Isn't it one of their biggest airplay hits? I feel like if it wasn't as big as it was and it was followed up by 'Holiday' performance they would have been a worse situation by the time SM came around.

I'm confident SM would have changed it all back but I don't knoe if their radio support would have been as instant as it was.

I'm just enjoying 2021 for them more than the last couple of years. It's just a throwaway comment really not that deep.

What I will say is that the 'no promo' argument (for or against any single) is pretty redundant in 2021 as artists rarely perform their songs unless it's an award show or a festival/late night TV show.

The charts are pretty much dominated by Spotify playlists and radio play.

Looks like it's dropped out of top 50 WW but holding at #8 UK (on spotify)
yeah it's not in the top 50, Save Your Tears is at #50 so i wouldn't be shocked if it was #51, although it'll probs climb, sunday updates are usually cruel to them anyway

the views for this are dire though, do dance songs usually do so bad? it's not even on their channel is it?

shame cause the video is actually v pretty and they had a concept for it, shame to see it just not get the deserved attention.

#54 on Global Spotify with around 1.2m streams

BED has 21million, Head and Heart has slightly under 200m, Higher Love Kygo has 142m, Calvin's new one has less than 5m. Maybe theres some exceptions but it doesn't seem theyre as big as other MVs. Avicii Wake Me Up has 2b though so obviously they can be huge.

I think it didn't help that it was released on Galantis' channel.

Wow 3,4 & 5 are close!

1 Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits (36,180)

2 Olivia Rodrigo - good 4 u (23,110)

3 Galantis, David Guetta & Little Mix - Heartbreak Anthem (13,380)

4 The Weeknd - Save Your Tears (12,719)

5 Maneskin - I Wanna Be Your Slave (12,372)

I think it got as high as 25 on TTH but could be wrong.
