February 21, 20215 yr I wouldn't be surprised if JLS was omitted from the chart, given "Time" doesn't exist and is another song by another artist

Most likely the track will be omitted completely tomorrow from charting, these things do happen.
February 21, 20215 yr But maybe the song is not even registered with the OCC, thats why it's not showing up, otherwise Im sure it would be at least top 20

February 21, 20215 yr Hope something soon kick Olivia Rodrigo ass of top spot soon You have a lot of hate for a 17 year old. Lay off her a bit.
February 21, 20215 yr Awkward that the Ella/Tom collab is set to enter higher than his current solo single :kink: I'm a bit baffled about why 'The Business' is doing so well - it's not that it's a bad song but it doesn't stand out for me as anything over and above any other half-decent dance song that's made the Top 40 lately. I wonder what's drawing people to it?
February 21, 20215 yr You have a lot of hate for a 17 year old. Lay off her a bit. Don’t mind song 5 week number 1 my chart just need bit fresh at top
February 21, 20215 yr Great to see Ella/Tom top 20, albeit it’s iTunes sales will mean it’s front loaded. I do like a male-female duet!
February 21, 20215 yr OCC First Look: “If the song’s momentum continues, Let’s Go Home Together would mark Ella’s first Top 40 single as a lead artist in over six years, since Yours went Top 20 in December 2014. In that six years, Ella has featured on Top 40 hits from Sigma, Kygo and Jax Jones, and has uncredited vocals on Nathan Dawe and KSI’s 2020 Top 3 single Lighter” Not sure about the stat of Ella not having a top 40 song as a lead artist for 6 years. This Is Real was a joint release, not a feat, just like this song. It charted #9. Edited February 22, 20215 yr by Marty
February 21, 20215 yr It's track #1 on HH, thats what's dragging people to it It's #2 on iTunes too (and was #1 there at the end of last week), which is more significant in the First Look chart of course! Playlist positions certainly wouldn't have caused that.
February 21, 20215 yr Not sure about the stat of Ella not having a top 40 song as a lead artist for 6 years. This Is Real was a joint release, not a feat, just like this song. It charted #9. The distinction between joint leads and features is increasingly blurred these days. More accurate to say it is (well, will be if it holds on) Ella's first top 40 hit as the first billed artist for 6 years.
February 22, 20215 yr The distinction between joint leads and features is increasingly blurred these days. More accurate to say it is (well, will be if it holds on) Ella's first top 40 hit as the first billed artist for 6 years. Sure. Just seems odd when artists/labels agree it’s not a ‘feat’ and they're consciously going for equal billing. Wonder if the OCC formally define ‘lead artist’? Anyway as usual with Ella, Spotify remains the weakness if that improves she/Tom probs make top 40 next week. It will be close.
February 22, 20215 yr Not sure about the stat of Ella not having a top 40 song as a lead artist for 6 years. This Is Real was a joint release, not a feat, just like this song. It charted #9. actually per the OCC Ella was a feature not a co-lead/joint release Ghost/1 Glow/7 Yours/16 Mirror Man/96 Glitterball/4 Sigma ft Ella Henderson Here for You/18 Kygo ft Ella Henderson This is real/9 Jax Jones ft Ella Henderson We Got Love/42 Sigala ft Ella Henderson Take care of You/50
February 22, 20215 yr actually per the OCC Ella was a feature not a co-lead/joint release Ghost/1 Glow/7 Yours/16 Mirror Man/96 Glitterball/4 Sigma ft Ella Henderson Here for You/18 Kygo ft Ella Henderson This is real/9 Jax Jones ft Ella Henderson We Got Love/42 Sigala ft Ella Henderson Take care of You/50 Don’t think they are right re the database entry on that. On Jax Jones album, iTunes, Amazon etc This Is Real is definitely an ‘&’ not a ‘feat’. But hey not gonna lose any sleep over it. Edited February 22, 20215 yr by Marty
February 22, 20215 yr Feature credits can be a bit inconsistent across platforms, partly because Spotify have adapted a messy comma format and two different artist fields which has no 1:1 consistent relation with what ends up on iTunes (and YouTube is an entirely different beast of its own). Disclosure's single for "My High" is in theory a 3 way co-credit with Amine & slowthai. The Spotify single lists all 3 artists this way, but the track itself omits Amine (this single also includes the prior single "ENERGY" which implies erroneously Amine is involved on that track as well??), but then on iTunes Amine only appears credited for the music video and nowhere else. The GRAMMY submission which has to go through the label itself demotes Amine & slowthai to feature credit status. And mind you, Disclosure prior to this album have always dabbled with features and not co-credits...except if you look at their albums on Spotify, all 3 albums are formatted the same way, which gives no indication of what they're meant to be anymore. So basically there's no universal standard and it's probably better to regard it in terms of what the artist does on the song or just consider all credits noteworthy regardless of their position or subdivision. After all, an Eminem feat. Skylar Grey song and a Skylar Grey feat. Eminem song both have people flocking in to listen for the same reason, and sometimes there's no change in role on the audio itself when the names are flipped.
February 22, 20215 yr The OCC site is a mess especially when there are many artists credited in a song but when there's only 2 artists involved, the credit is usually correct and should be what the labels wanted it to be so if Seal wasn't credited on Killer it's not cos the OCC didn't want to credit Seal, it's the label's decision
