You know who it is, it's miss K dollar sign HA! Kesha was my first pick of artist and was pleasantly surprised she had not been used in a previous AF Idol due to her fantastic, varied and accessible discography that is relatively untapped by the wider audience in comparison to the other big pop girls . Kesha blew up in 2009 with her Right Round collab with Flo Rida and TiK ToK later into the year which was the first year I started getting into following music so she is an artist I've seen grow and fall and rise from the ashes right from the beginning and as a result I care a lot for her! I'm excited to show y'all who haven't delved into her albums some gems and I am ready to WIN.

Round 1: Free choice

Any thoughts?

I was thinking a fairly well known recognisable single to get us going strong! But leaving some of the biggest hits til later. I'm also leaning away from her guest features as I think she has a strong enough discography as a lead artist and I don't think any of her features feature her for more than the chorus or are strong enough to be in this group of 8 songs! But am open to discussion of course x

My initial thoughts were Die Young/We R Who We R/Take It Off/Your Love Is My Drug?

Let me know below!

I love "We R Who We R" - I feel it's such a good nostalgic throwback and probably my fave of those four. "Die Young" I know is such a public fave too! All good choices tbf, I'd be happy with any.

KLUMZEE I COULD HUG YOU FOR THIS ARTIST CHOICE

Of the options you posted, We R Who We R is my absolute favourite but Your Love is second and seems to be a popular choice in here. I'd be sad if you didn't send the former at some point though :snif:

OMG SO EXCITED FOR THIS :gaga:

Die Young to get a moment at some point PLEASE

No

(probably the only time i'd not rank Kesha super highly :kink: )

Any human contact would do atm :drama: I knew you’d be all over this thread Bal!

Die Young is my absolute fave Kesha song but I know that’s not an opinion loads share! It seems we have support for everything but Take It Off for this round! I’d be more keen to lean towards Die Young or Your Love Is My Drug but there will be opportunities later on for these too! Also would really like the chance that to send Raising Hell at some point because that is EXCELLENT, just comes from a pretty shoddy era! (Praying and Tik Tok are not forgotten).

Take It Off out of those! Did it not win the last Kesha rate? I adore We R Who We R as well  (so many memories from nights out in my teens)

OMG the pressure is on! Everyone planning to start strongly looks like it!!

this is a bit of a Sophie's choice! love all my babies

when even is the deadline for selecting this one?

I will take a look at the last Kesha rate but honestly I can't remember it at all so it might not be very reflective of opinions these days!

I think Take It Off is my favourite Kesha song. She’s not a massive fave of mine but I know she’s praised highly on here, so I’m intrigued to hear a few album tracks!

I agree with Klaus! It has to be Take It Off!

High Road the album is also massively underrated imo!

I've done a complete listenthrough of all her material over the last two days and High Road still doesn't do it for me at all! It's trying to recreate the same mood of the first two albums but without the Dr. Luke production it sounds a bit haphazard and the ideas just don't quite connect for me. Rainbow impressed me though I'd forgotten the good bits of that one!

Omg all of her albums are varying degrees of SUPERB AND LIFE-CHANGING to good (High Road) - but even that has 'Chasing Thunder' on it <3

Her albums are great particularly Warrior

when even is the deadline for selecting this one?

~5pm tomorrow!

This is hard

We R Who We R! Such an anthem... although pretty much all her early singles were
