'Angels Like You' (from Plastic Hearts, 2020)

 

 

This wasn't going to be my original choice for Round 3 as I was planning to save it for later... BUT I gave in to peer pressure and here it is. I'm just a spokesperson for the people after all :P

 

Angels Like You seemed to be a highlight for many when the album was released and people have been demanding she give it the single treatment it deserves (rather than dropping the whole album era at the first chance, as she often likes to do...). However, this was put on New Music Friday playlists worldwide when the album was released so still managed to make a little splash on the charts. I'm sure it actually would have been a top 40 UK chart smash if not released in the run up to Christmas, if I recall correctly?!

 

Anyway, fingers crossed this can be another success for us after grabbing a medal spot in the first two rounds. Let's go for GOLD this time!

Meh at Nothing Breaks Like A Heart :( (but I get that it would be a popular choice). Not really "loving" the 'Prisoner' option either. I don't mind it and prefer it to NBLAH though.

Wrecking Ball aside, I don't really think anything Miley's done pre-2017 is particularly worth revisiting :ph34r: I'd be on board with Nothing Breaks Like a Heart (would also love Mother's Daughter to be sent at some point if possible)

For uptempo album round, I had pegged in either Plastic Hearts (might be better for should've been a single though now that we don't have ALY) or Thinkin'. Any thoughts or feelings?

Gimme What I Want would be my pick if you go with a song from PH!

 

I'd also love Liberty Walk or Permanent December from CBT. I'm not sure how "uptempo" they are though.
