I have read hundreds & hundreds & hundreds of positive reviews on social media & a huge amount of those were Americans which had just seen the movie, they liked it for what it was . I did not see any of those that saw it saying they liked it because Robbie is an international superstar, they liked it because it is actually a very good movie that stands up on its own as being really creative & different & those that made it were thinking outside the box & I say good on them for doing so.

Agree, I like this movie first of all because it's a great movie and only then because it's movie about Robbie.

And to be honest with you, I still really surpised because of it.

It's irony that only Pink (who didn't know him up to Graham Norton) wrote her kindly message to everyone.

Rick Astley did. I suppose Pink, Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron have obvious ties to Michael but they all publicised the film. I think you are totally right though, I too think it is bizarre there haven't been any shout outs from celebrity friends.

 

I think they all wrote their emails but waited to see what happened.

To be honest I have never seen these people post anything publically , is it something that's done, I would have thought it would be done privately . He mentioned only recently ( I think it was one of the many articles that I read , ( there have been so many I cannot remember which one ) where he said he had hundreds of personal emails & texts congratulating him on the movie. I think people in his industry are very protective of one another & say very little in public unless they are complete dick****ds as Robbie himself would call them. :lol: I do remember Harry from McFly was at the London premiere & talked about it in a podcast saying it was so good. A lot of Robbie's friends in the industry are of the same age group as Amy Winehouse would have been if she had lived & I think they all look out for one another after they see what can happen to people that are thrown to the wolves. After all that is what the movie was about , mental health & lack of support & how it can affect people's lives. Hopefully people will learn something from it . I think they will :)

Well, anyway, I'm waiting for Laura's news about Box Office ;)

 

Let me be a little bit crazy but I want to play the game with two movies: The Brutalist and concerts movie Taylor Swift - The Eras Tour.

 

The first one (I already started) I want to compare with BM at WW $ results in the end. Because, again, maybe it will be the Best Picture at Oscars.

While the second one I want to compare with BM at International $ results (without UStates) in the end: country by country. Because it's Taylor and everybody to compete with the best ones.

(I talked to my friend in Czech Republic yesterday and she surpised me to say Taylor's movie was a flop in the country, so after I thought it could be interesting to look at the other countries (I'm not American! :D) between Taylor and Robbie Williams)

 

Again, it will be my own game and I will be back with statistics from time to time :)
