In just a handful of years, the sharp-tongued New Yorker went from viral Instagram phenom to one of hip-hop’s most exciting voices, establishing herself as a bossed-up feminist icon along the way. Born Belcalis Almanzar in the South Bronx in 1992, Cardi got a job as a stripper at 19, quickly building a social media following—in addition to her devotees at the club—for her viral videos and hilarious catchphrases. In 2015, she scored a spot on VH1’s drama-filled reality show Love & Hip Hop: New York, where her brash personality turned her into an immediate fan favourite among her more established costars. That same over-the-top charisma made Cardi a natural fit for rap dominance; witty, unfiltered and totally fearless, her early tracks doubled as mantras for self-made women who put themselves first. But it was “Bodak Yellow” that launched Cardi into superstardom; a trap anthem that rang out from cars and clubs throughout 2017, it begging you to shout along. Her 2018 debut album, Invasion of Privacy, fused the Latin music of her childhood with hardcore New York hustlers' anthems, and squashed any doubts as to whether Cardi was here to stay. Meanwhile, her scene-stealing guest verses span the pop charts, from Bruno Mars (“Finesse [Remix]”) to Ozuna (“La Modelo”) to Maroon 5 (“Girls Like You”). Not bad for a self-proclaimed regular girl from The Bronx. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2017 24 Bodak Yellow -1- 2017 49 MotorSport (Migos, Nicki Minaj & Cardi B) 2017 45 No Limit (G-Eazy feat. February 26, 20215 yr 16 | 15 | 10th week Ed Sheeran Afterglow Non-album single Released: 21st December 2020 Label: Asylum Records UK Chart Statistics NE (31/12/2020) | 30-13-2-3-7-8-10-13-15-16 Sales: 200k+ Certification: Silver Status: Standard Chart Ratio 02 Sales 06 Audio Streaming 20 Video Streaming Video _NGQfFCFUn4 Biography There’s a lovely moment a little ways into Apple Music’s Songwriter documentary about Ed Sheeran in which Sheeran, jet-lagged and carrying a cup of tea, straggles out into a yard in Malibu at dawn, sits down at his laptop and begins writing a song about the moment right in front of him: the crisp air, the birdsong, the hot tea, the day ahead. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. February 26, 20215 yr 15 | 21 | 5th week ATB, Topic and A7S Your Love (9PM) Non-album single Released: 15th January 2021 Label: Virgin Records Chart Statistics NE (04/02/2021) | 61-42-23-21-15 Sales: 40k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 10 Sales 31 Audio Streaming __ Video Streaming Video 9hbu9toStfc Biography ATB André Tanneberger (German: [ʔanˈdʁeː ˈtanəbɛʁɡɐ]; born 26 February 1973), better known by his stage name ATB, is a German DJ, musician, and producer of trance music. According to the official world DJ rankings governed by DJ Magazine, ATB was ranked No. 11 in 2009 and 2010, and No. 15 in 2011. In 2011, he was ranked as world No. 1 according to "The DJ List". He is best known for his 1999 single "9 PM (Till I Come)" which was a No. 1 single in the United Kingdom. - Wikipedia Topic German songwriter, producer, and DJ Topic refers to his sound as "melancholic dance music." His songs typically combine striding house beats and light guitar melodies with yearning lyrics about heartache as well as dancefloor escapism. He made his full-length debut with 2015's Miles, and later scored a worldwide hit with 2019's "Breaking Me," featuring A7S. Tobias Topic was born in Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, in 1992. He began producing music using a digital audio workstation when he was 16. Using social media to launch his career, he released his first single, "Light It Up" (with vocalist Jona Selle), in 2014. His debut album, Miles, appeared in 2015, containing several additional singles, including "Home" (featuring Nico Santos), which was certified platinum in Germany and Australia. He continued releasing additional charting singles such as 2016's "Find You" (with Jake Reese), 2017's "Break My Habits," and 2018's "Perfect" (with former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke), which became his first song to reach the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart. Topic's first major worldwide hit, "Breaking Me," featuring Swedish singer A7S (Alexander Tidebrink), was released during the final weeks of 2019, and hit the Top Ten in two dozen countries by the end of 2020. Topic reunited with Santos on the 2020 single "Like I Love You," and collaborated with A7S and rapper Lil Baby on "Why Do You Lie to Me." - Apple Music A7S A7S is the enigmatic alter ego of Swedish songwriting sensation, Alexander Tidebrink. Having amassed over 1 Billion worldwide streams under his real moniker and for others, A7S is an altogether different project – darker, groove-heavier, but still infinitely melodic. Tipping his hat to fellow sonic travellers Diplo, Jon Bellion and The Weeknd, A7S blends seductive beats and a twilight vibe with perennial hooks. His laser-focus on melody is front and centre and the imaginative production never eclipses or overrides the song. Although A7S has just begun releasing material, he’s already a chart phenomenon – storming out of the gate with his first single “Breaking Me”, which is one of the top 10 most streamed tracks global (top 100 best streaming artist), top 3 in Germany, UK and Netherlands and No.1 on the Shazam and European airplay charts. For an artist in his mid-twenties, his style is confident, and more importantly, fluid. After all, genre is irrelevant when everyone you know is singing your chorus. Watch and wait as his audience grows exponentially with each release. - Spotify Top 100 Chart History ATB 1999 01 9 PM (Till I Come) -1- MILLIONAIRE 1999 03 Don't Stop! -2- 2000 04 Killer -3- 2001 16 The Fields Of Love (feat.
