Well it’s a good job your taste doesn’t impact this list. Still very flimsy reasoning and in a way still ignorance of the facts. I do think comparing Pink to Halsey is a reach.

No opinion would change that list, just said what I expected based on what the media sells to us, and you can be sure that this isn't a reach, their sound is quite the same. :arrr:

So when we get down to it, it was ignorance that made you think she wouldn’t be in the list :D

Or her fault for always being in the comfort zone with songs tailored for the radio :arrr:

The fact that it is only you that has had an issue with this suggests otherwise. Anyway, my point proven, I will bow out of this.

Have you been listening to Taylor Swift's last two albums lately?

No, I've just been reading your posts

Ignorance is pretending that Try This and Hurts 2B Human weren't major flops. "I'm Not Dead" is not called that way for any reason, she had to remind the public that she was still making music. :arrr:

I mean Try This sold over half a million copies in the UK, I wouldn't call that a flop at all... and Hurt's 2 B Human is Gold just like Joanne and Chromatica, are they flops too then?

Well when you had 8 albums do consistently well your gonna place higher than someone with 1 huge album and not exactly huge follow ups

why someone like leona Lewis places high on individual album but not overall as opposed to Pink

Gaga isn't chained to the UK, she is the most global pop star since Madonna ;)

You are aware this is a thread specifically for UK sales, right?

It’s become a thread about Adelita.

As with every thread, she thinks this is the Lady Gaga Official Fan Forum ;)

I mean I’d argue Britney, Christina and Rihanna became global pop stars long before Gaga but...

Either way this is a thread about the U.K. so I don’t get your comment? Try This was not a flop with over half a million U.K. sales. Also if hurts 2 be human was a flop then so was ArtPop, Cheek 2 Cheek, Joanne and Chromatica...

Britney, Xtina and Rihanna are more local than Gaga, when we face their sales inside and outside the US (the largest and most relevant world market). Look at their sales in the US and compare with their sales in the rest of the world, the percentage will be much higher than Gaga's percentage. I didn't say that they weren't successful around the world, but the only pop star since Madonna that has been successful on all continents was Gaga.

As I said, Try This was in fact a flop if I compare its sales to the sales of other girls' albums released around the same time. There's no point talking about its sales, as it's totally ridiculous to think that this album would sell 500k today, at a time when massive albums in the UK like Future Nostalgia are struggling to reach platinum after a whole year of massive investment and countless performances at every award and talk show in the world.

And you better not be asking me to bring in sales of these Gaga albums that you called as flops for me to compare to this flop P!nk album, because when we call an album as a flop, we can't focus on just one market , but in total sales, because that's what really matters at the end of the day.

It's not, but it should be. :teresa:

Yes, but when we call an album as a flop, we can't look at just one market, and that gives me room to talk about issues that are beyond the topic.
