March 19, 20214 yr well lawrence literally said “i can’t do that” but if that’s all you’ve taken from what i said then so be it. Well of course that’s what I took from it as that’s what you said... And yeah he did say that but I’m sure if it bothered him that much he’d have learned how to do it. Obviously had other priorities.
March 19, 20214 yr There's nothing really I can add to this thread that kye hasn't said already so for all intents and purposes I fully agree with him. I'm thrilled Lawrence won, as much as I also love Bimini but it means more to me that Lawrence did win, I get that everyone's got their opinions and their reasons etc but it's making me so sad to read people putting Lawrence down just because their fave didn't win because Lawrence did deserve it, just because you'd have preferred Bimini to win doesn't mean she wasn't worthy of being crowned.
March 19, 20214 yr Argh gutted and slightly annoyed that Bimini didn’t win she was a STAR!!! Utterly loved her.

Very few people on this thread have done that - in fact people seem to be commenting more on the edit Lawrence got and how the win isn't going to help him with fans. And no-one has disputed he hasn't won 3 times either before. In fact most people commenting have been fairly articulate rather than x is crap and shouldn't have won etc etc.
March 19, 20214 yr That was like a movie where you are invested all the way through, only to be let down by the ending Lawrence is a good queen, but really showed some weaknesses in the last few weeks. Without the long break she probably would have won, but with the break Bimini was clearly the more consistent Ellie was the obvious 4th place, especially as in a normal week Tayce would have won I really don’t understand some of the praise Lawrence got in the last few episodes - especially on some of the looks. Graham even turned poor choreo into a positive - giving the impression she could do no wrong Highlight of the week for me was seeing all 12 on the runway. Joe looked amazing, Veronica did not. A’Whora is still mad! Bring on season 3

And no-one has disputed he hasn't won 3 times either before. In fact most people commenting have been fairly articulate rather than x is crap and shouldn't have won etc etc. At which point did I say everyone was saying that? I didn't even say most people, just people because there are some that are and not even just on here, you go on twitter and it's mostly "Bimini was robbed!!1!", Saying Lawrence shouldn't have won or the like, there's worse as well. I'm talking in a general sense. I just feel bad for Lawrence having to read that or no doubt people will say to her about it in the future too, similar to Katya/Alaska, I'm sure Katya still gets told she was robbed even today and I hate that word because it implies it was someone else's crown from the get go and it's not, they all fought for it fairly. Yes Bimini may have been stronger in the latter part of the season bus Lawrence was strong in the first half where Bimini wasn't so much, it was always going to be an either or situation. They are on par with each other even if they have different strengths and weaknesses. Even if Bimini did win I wouldn't be all that disappointed because both deserved it, I wouldn't be screaming that Lawrence was robbed or the final was a shitshow etc. Obviously there's gonna be disappointments in every case which is fine but there's no need for SOME people to come at Lawrence because of that. March 19, 20214 yr Author Maybe Lawrence's win will make more sense on a whole season rewatch but she seemed to be going backwards for me these last 3 or 4 episodes in terms of placement and maturity via the edit, which is unfortunate. Maybe some producer had it out for her & so painted her worse? /told her to keep harping on about certain things & then edited out that they'd been asked to bring it up?
March 19, 20214 yr I feel like the lineup drama was kind of forced, even Ellie brought it up in the final episode. Maybe there wasn't as much drama as they'd have liked compared to an American season so they had to orchestrate it, who knows
March 19, 20214 yr Regardless of the winner, it wasn't a very entertaining finale, especially the performance. A Little Bit of Love is one of my fav Ru songs and they didn't really nail it. First of all, the audio was a bit out of sync for me, dunno if it's the ripped version I downloaded or not. Secondly, the choreo was SHIT and they had a professional choreographer on board, I mean it was almost as bad as the UK Hun choreo... Thirdly, Tayce clearly killed it, but of course they couldn't crown her... Lawrence did bad and now suddenly "it's the personality that matters", as if Bimini doesn't have one. As for the lipsync, what an ODD song to pick. CHOICES. At the end of the day, there's no cash prize so it doesn't matter who won really, but I was very underwhelmed by the entire episode.
March 19, 20214 yr forced drama or not, Lawrence definitely came off as petty and immature during that and it was one of the reasons I hopped off the Lawrence hype train shortly after. Although to be frank a lot of contestants start off on such a huge high but it means maintaining the slayage and climbing even higher is almost impossible. that's a big part of why this makes the win so underwhelming for me personally - you would expect a different trajectory for a winner and Lawrence hardly ever recovered to score another win and seal the deal. everything was already decided week 1-2.
March 19, 20214 yr I loved the final lipsync- didn’t think it was an odd choice at all. A camp classic from one of the most influential gay artists of all time- same as last season!
March 19, 20214 yr the show ran for 10 weeks though, not 4. lawrence had 3 badges + the general consensus from the judges + fans is that if the show hadn’t stopped filming, bimini wouldn’t be where she was. the first half of the season can’t be discounted just because bimini got better in the second half  But Bimini was strong in the first half of the season? Many fans thought she could have won the design challenge and she placed in the top for the Morning Glory challenge? What an odd debate point to make
March 19, 20214 yr But Bimini was strong in the first half of the season? Many fans thought she could have won the design challenge and she placed in the top for the Morning Glory challenge? What an odd debate point to make I thought the same - she was weak in Week 1. That was it - in the majority of all the other challenges pre and post lockdown she was slaying
March 19, 20214 yr I was STUNNED at Bimini not winning as I thought it made the most sense to crown her given her huge growth and slayage of the latter half of the season... BUT I am thrilled to see Lawrence take it. Lawrence proved from day dot that she is a star and although she had ups and downs, she showed relatability in the sense that we can all identify with that self-doubt and fear of not living up to your own expectations of yourself. Tayce was my favourite but I knew that there was no chance in hell that she was winning, also Ellie came across really well this episode - really sweet and loveable. This was SUCH a good season with a spectacular cast. Even the early-outs like Joe, Cherry and Asttina are fantastic and I can only hope that season 3 lives up to it at least to some extent.
March 19, 20214 yr But Bimini was strong in the first half of the season? Many fans thought she could have won the design challenge and she placed in the top for the Morning Glory challenge? What an odd debate point to make odd debate point? before the break bimini was bottom 2 + safe for 3 weeks, lawrence had already had 2 wins. strange that you would pick my comment out when there are others in here who have said that bimini had an upward trajectory, indicating that she started off poorly. also, you may think it was a strong performance but bimini themselves said that if it hadn’t been for the break, they probably wouldn’t have got to the final. but go off, i guess.
March 19, 20214 yr jeez is there a need for such snidey patronising remarks Kye? they literally started in the bottom 2 and never had a bad week since then. so yes, bottom 2 once -> safe -> winning 4 out of 5 challenges is an upward trajectory and the post-lockdown phase was so much stronger in comparison. i don't remember them saying that if it hadn't been for the break they wouldn't have gotten to the final too. it was about the voices that were telling they weren't good enough if we are talking the finale and the interview with Ru/Michelle.
