All 3 of those 1989 tracks are BOPS - I hadn't actually heard the remix before this rate so that was a pleasant surprise

I am once again v. sorry for the major delay on my end so to make up for it, here's a double section x

So in this section, we have a complete split of album tracks and official singles with 5-a-piece! 3 of those singles are also a trio of lead singles that are the first ones to exit since Tim McGraw a while ago! Albums-wise, all of Red-1989-Rep lose 2 a-piece + her 1st album & most recent 3 lose one track each.

Let's start with the singles! In non-lead singles, we lose two singles in this section in 22 in 52nd place and Teardrops On My Guitar (Pop Version) in 53rd place. Teardrops on my Guitar was Taylor's first big taste of success in America and also made a small splash in the UK as a single after being released as the follow-up to Love Story here! The pop version was more geared towards international audiences and is a complete bop, I acc prefer it to the original! It's departure here means the only self-titled song in the top 50 is the radio version of Teardrops, how high can that go?! Pop Version received two 10s and a lowest score of a 5. 22 is 30 places below the perfect number for it (x) and did solid enough as a single (moreso in the UK) but has really certified itself as a Taylor classic over the past decade with it being the event song for basically anyone's 22nd birthday x Such an iconic track and also a major pop bop & one of the earliest hints of pop-Taylor! 22 has performed around how I expected, tho maybe I thought'd it'd crack the top 50! 22 received 3 10s and a lot of high scores but a 3 really affected it!

We also lose a trio of divisive lead singles with a spoken-line in the bridge at this point in the rate, all that I'm kinda surprised made it as high as they did due to the massive range of scores they got & some backlash in rates, compared to other songs that just received solid scores overall. WANEGBT is (quite surprisingly) the next lead single to exit, leaving in 60th place! This was the song that saw the introduction of pop-Taylor and catapulted her to world domination, scoring her first US #1 and her first big hit in the UK since Love Story with this bop! The video is a one-take iconic moment & so rewatchable, the lyrics are fab & I love the bridge and the 2nd chorus in particular! This always goes off on tour with how Taylor revamps it & is def a classic of her discography! Kicking off the controversial lead singles, WANEGBT received an 11 from Joseph, seven 10s, two 4s and a 0! Now onto her biggest ever hit as Shake It Off departs in 57th. The lead single from the gigantic 1989 era was huge from the offset, spending 4 weeks at #1 in the US (and would've been like 13 if she didn't get blocked by Meghan Trainor + pushed Blank Space a couple weeks later!) and spending forever in the top 10 in the UK whilst peaking at #2 (due to being one of the only artists at this time not holding back releases x). Shake It Off is beyond iconic and let alone being a Taylor classic, is one of the biggest classics of the 2010s and is a regular party/heart. fm/throwback anthem <3 Whilst the song does get quite a bit of hate, this has always been a Taylor song close to my heart & in my top 5 of hers ever (and one of my 11s in this rate). I have so many incredible memories attached to this song, its possibly the catchiest song ever & I have played it like a billion times, I could probs be here til tomorrow talking about how much I stan it so I'll stop there x Anyway SIO received an 11 from me, seven 10s, a few 5s & 6s and a low score of 3. Kinda surprised WANEGBT was more divisive than SIO! And onto the final lead single in this section and another 11 from me is reputation's ICONIC lead Look What You Made Me Do! What. a. song. what. a. comeback. This was instant love for me from the moment it dropped and a switch-up no one expected, whilst the VIDEO WHEW. Her best video ever & my favourite of the 2010s. every scene is beyond iconic, the amount of clever references in it & it looks absolutely gorgeous & spectacular. A moment in pop culture history & one of the only eventful pop videos of the past few years! LWYMMD is everything I wanted and more and the tour version absolutely slaps, another career highlight for me. This had a gigantic first couple of weeks worldwide, smashing records front-and-centre, demolishing YouTube stats and finally scoring Taylor a UK #1 hit, whew a song! Onto the scores, this once again received an 11 from me, eight 10s, but a -1 and a 2 really harmed its position and average here. :(

Onto the album tracks now, I'm lowkey surprised both ivy and the archer made it this high! ivy is another cute evermore track which is pretty reminiscent of invisible string (and most people who stan one of these songs are obsessed with both). A nice whimsical moment on evermore but too high here x ivy received three 10s but nothing below a 6! I'm really glad The Archer has overperformed because its rly solidified itself as a hidden gem in Taylor's discography for me <3 such a gorgeous song with brutally honest lyrics and well deserving of Taylor's track 5 placements! The song is v. reminiscent of the work of Lorde etc and was the 1st promotional single from Lover, way outdoing the 2 official singles that preceded it here! The Archer received two 10s but once again nothing lower than a 6, showing its consistency! We also lose another track from folklore as mirrorball departs. Another underrated gem that really solidified itself as a hidden album cut gem amongst the fanbase, the lyrics are once again beautiful and highlights how great of a songwriter Taylor is & the production is whimsical and is just such a beautiful vibe for the colder months. I was hoping this could make the top 50 but alas it just missed :( a common theme amongst the album tracks in this section is consistency, mirrorball's score breakdown is the exact same as Ivy x Wonderland is the track that just misses out on the top 50 as the bonus track from 1989 has solidified itself as a fan favourite and beats out quite a bit of the main album here! The production is fabulously and the verses build beautifully to the pounding 80s-lite chorus & the imagery of the lyrics is fab, another terrific track. Wonderland received four 10s, and for the fourth time in this section had a lowest score of 6  The last album track to discuss is one of my fave Taylor songs of all time and a track that nearly got one of my 11s, the wonderful Don't Blame Me from reputation! The track is superb, Taylor is absolutely serving vocals, especially on the final chorus, and the production builds incredibly for the chorus to absolutely EXPLODE, whew a career highlight. I rly rly wish this was pushed as the 2nd/3rd single as I feel this could've been a nice surprise hit + show another side to Taylor, its not too dissimilar to take me to church which ofc smashed! Don't Blame Me is incredible and really deserved top 50 so I'm gutted it missed (even moreso than the leads I gave 11s to in this section as I expected them to go), I rly though tit could crack the top 40! AND ONCE AGAIN, DBM's score breakdown is the exact same as ivy & mirrorball   we love consistency.

Album Breakdown of Songs Remaining:
- sidenote: for the albums which have remixes included (e.g. Delicate remixes & that), I've done 2 separate tallies of the album + era

Taylor Swift - 1/15
Fearless - 3/19
The Holiday Collection - 0/6
Speak Now - 8/17
Red - 4/19 (acoustics - 4/22)
1989 - 8/16 (1989 era - 8/18)
reputation - 4/15 (rep era - 4/18)
Lover - 5/18 (lover era - 5/21)
Non-Album Singles - 0/16
folklore - 10/17
evermore - 7/17

Biggest losers in 51-100: evermore & 1989 (8), Lover (7), NAS (2 - 100% of songs remaining)
Medium losers in 51-100: Fearless, reputation & folklore (5)
The winners in 51-100: Red (4), Taylor Swift & Speak Now (3)

so heading into the top 50, folklore is dominating and making up 20% of the songs remaining to come! Next up is Speak Now (:o) and 1989 with 8 a-piece, and evermore drops a bit this round with 7. Lover has a solid 5 whilst Red and Reputation are the underperformers rn with each album surprisingly only having 4 tracks each top 50! Fearless & self-titled hang on for dear life, whilst the non-album singles unsurprisingly finally fully depart!

Can't believe we lost THREE lead singles in one section! Well, two combined sections but still :o

'Shake It Off' that low, and lower than 'Look What You Made Me Do', is wrong on so many levels.

WANEGBT is a bop but it’s easily the weakest of the 3 lead singles in that section for me. Shake It Off is a major bop and LWYMMD will forever remain iconic.

I love ‘ivy’, ‘The Archer’ is nice too but I’m kinda surprised it’s this high?

Also I definitely underscored ‘Don’t Blame Me’, what a masterpiece

folklore is dominating and making up 20% of the songs remaining to come!

we love to see it!

Edited by Lunar

Okay, there’s just too much to say. Where do I start??

1. I love Shake it off. It nearly got one of my 11s and really don’t get the hate for it. Eventhough I listened to the red era, it was easily the track they made me stand up and take notice of Taylor - like really take notice.

2. And look what you made me do is just arghh. I listed to this over and over and over… The video still gives me spine tingles.

3. I am so happy that speak now has eight songs and those eight songs are amazing.

4. Looking at all the songs left, it really shows the strength of her discography. I could honestly say I love nearly all of those songs.

5. Surprised Right where you left me is still in! Not unhappy about it.

'Look What You Made Me Do' finishing this high is disgusting xx

(same for '22' and 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' but I thought most of her fandom agreed by this point that LWYMMD is pretty bad xox)

#50-#46:

50. Sparks Fly [Avg. 8.33 (less 10s)]
49. Fearless [Avg. 8.33 (more 10s)]
48. The Story of Us [Avg. 8.39]
47. Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince [Avg. 8.40]
46. long story short [Avg. 8.42]

We are starting this section with her fifth single track from Speak Now. It was written when Taylor was sixteen after playing with her crush Jake Owen in a bar in Oregon. The lyrics were reworked and the song was then placed on Speak Now. The original lyrics are here in case anyone wants to see what they are. High scores were given by fellow mods London and Ultra (10). Next highest is a 9.5 (Among Haus, DionTheSats123). At the low end are scores of 6 (Ho-Lee Smokes, jtkoon). Quite a few 8.5s and 8s were also handed out.

Next up is a title track. Taylor wrote Fearless while touring as an opening act to promote her debut album and says that it's about her ideal first date, but not anyone in particular. It's about the feeling of falling in love. High scores are a 10 (Nina West, Qween, John-James, DionTheSats123) and a 9 (JosephStyles, Riser, Ultra). Low scores are a 6.5 (jtkoon) and a 6 (Jade).

In this spot, we are losing another track from Speak Now, the fourth single. The Story of Us was written about the time when she encountered an ex-boyfriend of hers at the 2010 CMT Music Awards. At the event, the two attempted to ignore each other, which inspired Taylor to compose the song. High scores are a 10 (Jade, JosephStyles, London, Tafty) and a 9.5 (Among Haus, DionTheSats123, Ultra). At the lower end, a 5.5 (Riser).

Here is an album track that is one of my personal favorites from Lover. Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince is described as "a gloomy synth-pop, dream pop, and electropop song that documents Taylor's disillusionment with the current state of United States politics, using a metaphor consisting of a high school parable and homecoming imagery. The track has been labeled a melodramatic protest song." It received high scores of a 10 (DionTheSats123, JosephStyles, jtkoon, me), a 9.5 (Jay, John-James), and a 9 (DionTheSats123, Doug). The lowest score is a 5 (Dexton).

Lastly, we have an album track from evermore. long story short is described as "a brisk paced overview of the public demonizations that Taylor has experienced since her feud with Kanye West in 2016." It was given two 10s (London, Tafty), some 9.5s (John-James, Ultra), a few 9s and 8s. The low score is a 6 (Dexton).
Some great songs there, particularly "Sparks Fly", "Fearless" and "long story short"

A really great section of songs here.

Loved watching the sparks fly video and Long Story Short is such a great song.

I’ve got to say that the five songs leaving this section are all, IMO, awesome.

First to leave this section is Gold Rush @ number 45. Such a great song which was an instant favourite from the album. It scored an 11 from Jade and 10s from Ultra & Blacksquare.

Invisible String is at number 44. This song was a slow burner for me and overtime has become one of my favourites from the album; I think the story it tells and the imagery it creates is beautiful - actually gives me tingles. It scored an 11 from Cremey and 10s from Jktoon, me & Ready for it.

And at 43 is Mean, an absolutely great song from Speak Now - I think the lyrics are perfect: ‘Someday, I’ll be living in a big old city and all you’re ever gonna be is mean,’ is probably one of the best lyrics. Apparently, Taylor wrote Mean in response to scathing reviews by infamous blogger Bob Lefsetz who wrote poorly about Taylor’s performance with Stevie Nicks in the 2010 Grammy Awards. This received a number of 10s (Ultra, Tafty, Nina West, me, Klumzee &DionTheSats123).

All You Had To Do Was Stay is at number 42 which is such a bop. The chorus is super catchy and the bridge makes me sing at the top of my voice: ‘This was what you wanted…’ The track is definitely one of the strongest album tracks on 1989 imo. It scored 10s from Jade, John-James and Riser.

At number 41 is Right Where You Left Me, a bonus track from Evermore. I love this song but I’m honestly surprised it is this high. Mr Andrew Man gave it an 11 while Ultra & Jktoon gave it 10s.
Two of my favorite album tracks there in 'All You Had To Do Was Stay' and 'Right Where You Left Me'
